When U.S. government operative Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his mentor, Jim Phelps (Jon Voight), go on a covert assignment that takes a disastrous turn, Jim is killed, and Ethan becomes the prime murder suspect. Whatta franchise! The OG is great, 2 & 3 are a bit average for me and then from 4 on this franchise is just fantastic! I’m really bummed Dead Reckoning Part 1 didn’t do super hot at the box office but it ran into the juggernaut that was Barbenheimer.
I love this movie.
Have you seen Tinker, Tailor? Gary Oldman and Benedict Cumberbatch are fantastic British spies.
To answer Oak about when did Kittridge understand that Ethan was not the bad guy.. Just before they go to the train scenes, there is a scene that Kittridge gets the package with the tickets to the train and is handed the watch that the glasses feed the signal to.. 😉 They do a good job of hiding the main portion of the watch so that you don't actually recognize it from the beginning when Emilio is showing Sarah about the glasses, but can see enough of the band to recognize that it is a watch that dropped from the package with the tickets..
One of the best film series. So thrilled to watch your guys reactions and hear your in depth thoughts (Particularly Oak’s). Can’t wait when you reach 4 because to me that’s when these go from really good to great.

I love the whole MI movie series, but the second one is still probably my favourite, although I haven't seen Dead Reckoning part 1 yet lol.
You guys name a lot of Tom Cruise movies, but did not mention one of his first movies, Risky Business. Have any of you watched that one by chance? If not, would love to see you work it in!
You caught it 3 times cause you know what the knife means lol. Someone's first time watching, if they pick up on the knife I'll be impressed. The knife isn't what anyone focuses on first time though.
