  1. You may check with insurance company and see if they had a claim for the incident. Not sure if the local authorities might have an open case division that might give you some info. Just a suggestion. Enjoy your videos!

  2. I think the broken vessel may have held holy water or oil to bless the building when the nuns moved in. Perhaps broken on the doorstep and remains purposely buried there. Why not ask the Time Team guys if this was done?

  3. You may be able to request documentation from the local coroners office or town for further info on the death, or reach out to the family? Orrr you could try talking to the local fire service in case anyone remembers? Might be an interesting video too

  4. SOMEONE CALL TIME TEAM !!!. Actually, it would be kind of great to see a collection of what you find and do an episode with what you found since you started the work. Simon, great job explaining what you find, keep up the great conversations and I can't wait to see what you find in the back garden.

  5. The vessel has such thin walls. It definitely was done by a skilled potter. Love all the things you’re finding. Has anyone looked for a garbage dump on the property? Can’t wait to see what you find with a metal detector.

  6. Billy, maybe you’ve discovered who the ghost is that is haunting the convent- the woman with the suspicious death. The stone at the threshold could be just that- a natural stepping stone to the doorway. I have an old photo of a relative’s old house that features a large natural stone like the one at the convent doorway. I asked my dad about it once because it looked odd and he told me that it was for people pulling up to the door so when they exited the cart or wagon, they wouldn’t step down into dirt or mud and track it into the house. I could see how it had worn down from so many feet trodding across it.

  7. Have a wonderful vacation, Billie and family. Love the artifact finds. Funny that the grey pottery vessel walls are so thin. Often older is thicker but function often influences vessel wall thickness also. Very delicate looking. So sad about the mysterious death of the young lady. There must be documentation somewhere. More than a few have likely died at the convent over time. The Earth is a giant graveyard, when one thinks about it, between dying humans and creatures through time. And beyond intentional inhumations there are the leaves on fields of warfare, disease and use of pits, marked and unmarked for plague victims, thousands of unmarked and "moved" cemeteries, and so forth.

  8. Just watched this video.carbon marks in hallway could point to the poor lady opening flat door to escape allowing more oxygen in allowing smoke to escape.Did she then fall down the stairs from smoke inhalation?Interesting to see as fire/water damage restoration is what I do for a living! Keep up the great videos

  9. I wonder if you can't find someone who resided there over the years – some old nun perhaps who is still alive – who can tell you what possibly can be told that you don't already know from research and stories from other locals? This is always such an interesting story but it would especially nice for you all to know the actual factual truth about the place as much as possible. I mean I know it's an old old building but surely someone – even a local elderly person would have some memories. I know it takes a lot of time but it might be worth digging to find as much as you can find out about the place and its inhabitants or people who worked there over the years. Another interesting video indeed.

  10. Get a medium in to see if any spirits need passing over and clear the space. Or make a mint doing ghost tours, I'm sure there's you tube ghost teams that will fall over themselves to collaborate to access a new venue.

  11. When the Convent is done and turned into a wedding venue or boutique hotel, there needs to be a virtual reality room where guests can experience the history and traditions, along with the massive renovation that took place in this historic building.

  12. Is there a local library that might have more information about what the building was used for? Yes a convent, but would they have used it to help the community in other ways? The stone on the stairs looks like a ramp. For an elderly person who couldn't step up on the stairs or for wheelchair. Maybe for wheelbarrow's.

  13. When a fire has happened in a property, you get damage from the water or chemical the fire brigade would have used, and soot can travel through lots of rooms, the fire would travel upwards, I worked for insurance company for 17 years doing claims. So I have seen reports on fire damage a lot, I would have to investigate even more about the death I couldn’t just leave it, I think that girl who died wants you to fi d out. It’s so interesting.
