A SURPRISE Makeover for Special Barbershop | George to the Rescue (Full Episode)

In the Season 15 fall premiere of NBC’s ‘George to the Rescue’: host George Oliphant surprises an inclusive local barbershop with an exciting renovation to help them continue their heartwarming initiative of serving up fresh haircuts to neurodivergent children and adults who might dread the process.

Located in Nutley, New Jersey, “Your Kind of Cuts” – operated by Billy Dinnerstein and his patient and compassionate team — has created an accessible and comfortable environment dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with sensory sensitivities and offers services tailored to the unique needs of each client. GTTR’s goal with this project? To revamp the barbershop with modern furnishings, new floors, and helpful sensory and therapeutic tools — and ultimately transform it into a space that’s not only safe and functional but enjoyable as well. And thanks to the incredible expertise of interior designer Beatrice Tokaye, contractor Anthony Carbone of Timberridge Construction — as well as game-changing donations by Minerva Beauty, Hot Wheels, 3M, and more generous contributors — we’d say MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Many thanks to the following companies for making this renovation a reality for Billy and his staff:

  1. I am sorry guys, I had to watch this one 3 times. Children and people in general with different abilities is something very close to my heart. Thank you Billy and your TEAM for what you do for such a special community! George and CREW, what can I say you knocked another one out of the park. This show always puts a smile on my face and lets me know in a small way how the little things I am doing here in Colombia affect change. Keep at it and many prayers are being sent your way. Hugs from an old Canuck.

  2. One of the best makeover you've ever done George! Everyone did a fantastic job. Billy and his team are wonderful for having a place for special needs kids. I've worked in Occupational Therapy for 27 years so I know what it's like for the kiddos. I can't say enough how fantastic Billy and his team are! Great job George!!!❤

  3. My grandson is an extremely active 4 year old. My son and his wife simply cannot find a place to get his hair cut. He is bi-racial with curly hair from his white mother's side but lots of.curls from my son. It's very hard to get him to calm down and sit still. Still.looking here in WI
