A Squad of Soldiers Fights for Survival in the Jungle | Hollywood Action Thriller English Film
Set in Vietnam in April 1968, three months after the tide-turning Tet Offensive and one month after the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., “Point Man” follows a U.S. Army fire team fractured by racial tensions, moral crises, and the crushing pressures of a war nobody wants to fight.
Andre “Casper” Allen, a rough-edged ideologue, finds his radical politics clashing with the squad’s machine gunner, Silas Meeks. Their tension intensifies amid the racial unrest that pervades both the country and the army. During a search-and-destroy mission in the Mekong Delta, the situation spirals out of control. The squad falls into an ambush, leading to heavy losses and further straining relationships among the soldiers.
Despite their animosity, Silas and Casper must work together to survive. They face not only the enemy but also their obstinate platoon commander, Lieutenant Sutter, who is losing control of the situation. In the jungles of Vietnam, every step forward becomes perilous, and loyalty is tested. It was OK in the beginning but about half way as it was that i had a hard time swallowing and stomaching US policies of war and their head counts which include old people,woman and children!Horrifying!
I wasted time watching the movie. it's not good. The soldiers talk more than do action, and they pull guns on each other. The 2 little blacks are not supposed to die.

Shit movie ever
It has potential for a great move and I'm only about 15 minutes in, but I don't understand, if enemy contact is possible why are they talking so loudly while on patrol with a few carrying their weapons slung or on their shoulders, if the VC opens up it will take crucial seconds to get those weapons operational. Remember, the key to a great movie is attention to detail and realism. That's what the viewing audience is looking for; I"m sorry but there it is. Regards, Denis Berte' USMC (Nam 70-71)
