  1. You have to understand that responsible journalism doesn’t just take the word of online vloggers. If a nation is releasing “official” numbers, they will report those numbers (and maybe add some disclaimers). The world is turmoil precisely because these sources are being taken too seriously.

  2. The russia is a crime syndicate (mafia land) and the way it exists is wholly unsustainable. The way the mafia regime treats the topic of its economy is comparable to the Titanic on its way down with the band playing to prevent panic.

  3. That is what I love about doing research, – when something just doesn't feel right, but you don't know what, then suddenly you find something and suddenly everything makes sense. The reason China is happy to support Putin is because the longer the war goes on the weaker Russia gets ( and less of a threat to China). In addition the West gets weaker and it's military gets weaker. Win win China.

  5. Canada ain’t bad as Russia but we are ‘abusers’ ‘bad people’ that are at fault for it. Feel like wars in Europe no longer are my concerns. Times are heard, prices in northern reserves pay the most, always was, location. Now south has our old prices and prices are tripled. Tariffs coming and I just worry for my family. Ukraine going through war, real war always sets things back in perspective. I won’t fight it, God is on control.

  6. I am not sure I agree with this one. This is not a 'shadow' budget. It is the mechanism used to convert to a wartime economy. Converting factories from building toys to guns takes capital. These are private, or partially private, businesses so the government is not going to pay for their infrastructure. Putin makes the banks pay for it with low interest loans. A government contract with the business (more like a concession agreement) is enough to guarantee the loan. That is less money for the bank, but more security. The company is able to upgrade its physical plant and start production. So Putin upgrades to wartime production without investment by the government. Everybody wins, as long as the banks have money to loan.

  7. Russians needs to wake up sooner than later but I think local leaders are waiting for this scenario so they can then proclaim independence. Dagestan, Chechnya and Siberia would be new countries that will come out of Russia.
