  1. Finest cat film since the Atristocats! Easily blows the film adaptation of Cats out of the water by a factor of a 1,000,000. Frodo was instantly a better and more compelling actor than James Corden could ever hope to be. It was nice to hear that both cats that portrayed Frodo were adopted by crew members and they are now living out their retirement peacefully and out of the spotlight. Their legacies untarnished by the trappings fame and money. πŸ˜‚

  2. Joseph Quinn and his sad boy face kills me every time! I'm so glad I watched this through you guys because I would be in shambles. I mean, I'm in shambles but minus the throbbing stress headache πŸ˜†

  3. Found this movie disappointing if I'm honest….
Given the trailers, I was anticipating a much more action heavy film (surrounding the chaos of Day One)…. but they instead it was just more of the same.

  4. This is my third watch through. Well, two complete watch throughs and one reaction. So much I missed in the theater. I forgot to ask for a closed caption device so I missed all the dialog the first time. The poem he read was what I wanted to hear the most. Second was with my Apple Vision Pro googly eyes and that time I got it all. This time I’m looking for stuff I missed in the background and amazing acting. I kept thinking they must have made Eddie’s eyes bigger in post, but I’ve seen interviews with him since and his eyes really are that big. That’s one thing I noticed is how much the camera holds their eyes. Most of the story is told with their eyes. Loved this film. I will say this: I’ve had cancer twice and I’ve used those fentanyl patches. They do NOT work that fast. lol

  5. This is a genuinely bad movie that had no reason to be bad; the premise should have made this an easy win.

But somehow they hired writers who thought some idiots pizza pilgrimage during a world ending catastrophe was the best way to illustrate the beginning of the franchise.

It could have redeemed itself somewhat at the end had she sacrificed herself to help her friend reach the boat. But instead she just was like "ya better run fast i gotta go listen to some music and feel sorry for myself" only to sacrifice herself anyway right at the end.

Worst protagonist in any movie ever.

  6. Most relatable character motivations I think I've ever seen in a movie!
It's nice to see that the cat distribution system still works even during the apocalypse. Is Eric or Frodo the cat? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

  7. Is it my imagination, or does the actor who played Eric (Joseph Quinn, also playing the Human Torch in Fantastic 4) look like Robert Downey Jr ????? . . . and please dont get me started with the Dr Doom crap . . .πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  8. One thing puzzled me about this excellent film: there would be so many painless ways to die in New York. Why deliberately choose to get eaten by monsters? Of course it makes for a dramatic ending but when I left the cinema all I could think of was that last scene, and why?

  9. The military could just post up in a few boats just offshore blasting noise while people quietly left the other side of the island. Sure the first few days would suck but humanity would be able to eradicate these things quite quickly.

  10. "Eh, I'm okay." I feel that in my very soul Cody lmao. I'll observe it from a distance. Too much crazy and rushing around. You gotta be built for a place like that.

Also, I don't think the military had the benefit of watching two prior movies about these events to base their decisions on unfortunately. Taking out the bridges and isolating the city before starting the evacuation would be a pretty standard procedure (contain the spread, save who you can). It stands to reason that satellites would likely have been damaged by so many foreign objects hitting Earth at once, and meteors and other objects hitting the atmosphere and burning up generate ionized gasses and potential minor EMP pulses. Global surveillance and communication was likely disrupted, at least for a time. None of that matters though, because Frodo made it. Now he's off to the silent Undying Lands with Eric the Gandalf.
