A *Qualified* Aerial Victory over China – 1 Feb 1942 – War In The Pacific (Macho v. Heiden)

I got a lot of assets together today to launch a proper sweep over Tuyun, hoping to catch the Hurricanes and P-38s up. Instead, we got the leftovers. We got a clean victory here but it was a qualified one, because it wasn’t really what I had wanted.

  1. Night CAP is not useless, it heavily disrupts incoming raids to the point of missing completely or something close to that. But also 4E allied bombers are deadly at night. I had aces flying liberators and B-17s. Night air combat seems very broken in this game..

  2. Its not so much Bomber Buff at night but daylight Fighter get heavy debuff at night. Still their attacks disrupt the Bombers and they dont hit anything. It was not the weather that they missed. Flak has same effect. No debuff for night fighters and a Buff for night fighters with Radar, you See the Message in Combat Log

  3. Also for the 4E Bombers get used to not shooting them down until you get Georges with their 4x20mm cannons….they kill 4E if they hit…can only advice you heavy research towards them. Franks for IJA they have at last 2 20mm however also 2 xMg so here not always Kills.
