A PRINCE JOINS THE FAMILY | Final preparations for our CREATIVE RETREAT

Welcome back to Château de Puy Vidal!

Penelope brings home a new family member to Puy Vidal! As the entire team at the Château comes together to finish the Pavilion suite, dubbed the Suite Oiseaux, or “Bird” suite by Julia. Wallpapering, painting, floor installations, bedroom decor, elevator refurbishing, these are just a few of the dozens of tasks needed to be completed before the arrival of our Creative Retreat guests!

Coming this Fall we will be launching various new Creative Retreats. Check out the link below for more information.

These are the adventures of Julia, her partner Carolina, her sister Penelope, and her parents Maruca and Robert, an American family taking a leap of faith and living out a long-awaited dream of moving to the French countryside.

Château de Puy Vidal is a medieval fortress turned renaissance Castle and is located in the Charente region of Nouvelle Aquitaine, France. This channel is dedicated to our love of chateaux, old stones, magic, family and history. We share with you our life at Puy Vidal. What happens when your dreams come true?

  4. Bonjour tout le monde, This is a great vlog showing us all the beautiful work that you are all doing, getting ready for the workshop. Definitely, you are a great team as there is so much to prep.: ordering, re-arranging, beautifying, planning, and much more. You should be proud of yourself as this goes for the outside and inside of the Château as well. The new addition, little Prince, is such a gorgeous baby, so precious, it is going to be a delight to watch him grow up along side of Penelope. Best wishes for the success of the workshop, many thanks and appreciation for sharing this vlog with us. Much love your way. – Rosalind – ❤💯🌺

  5. This is My favorite channel on utube I know u all are busy but oh boy do I wish u had 1 video a week even if u had to sit the camera up and let it go and do ur thing.. It shows how women can run a business do carpentry work I love watching the cooking segments and decorating… Like I said it's my favorite channel.. I know if u put out a video per week u can easily get to 500,000 subscribers and more the channel is just that good.. Even just doing a cooking video where u take us to the market to ur finished meal cooked.. Or on some of ur shopping trips.. Maybe yall can make a chart and each 1 take a week, On ur week it's ur turn to make a video that week.. The more subscribers the more u can remodel in the Chateau and other projects u have this winter.. I try sharing to Facebook episodes but they are to far apart.. Changing up to each 1 of u are responsible for that video that week,, ur parents, ur sister, u and ur partner then all together 1 video a month just a suggestion I just would love to see more of u beautiful people and more of ur channel personly I think ur channel would be bigger than Chateau diaries!!! Let's get to 500,000 😊😊😊❤❤❤ OH have u ever thought about remodeling the tower beside the paint shop when u come thru the gate for ur office and put a upstairs in it for tons of storage.. I think yall may have thought at 1 time it was the Chapel and u could maybe have a log burner in it.. I watch how to renovate a Chateau and they put log burners in there Chateau and they said it made the rooms warmer and it saved on the heating bills well ill hush now can u tell I'm from the USA and I'm rooting for ur channel to grow and grow I haven't missed a episode…Tennessee here do u have a Patreon..😊😊

  6. Hi, about paint, France has lot of high end paint manufacurers, from Tollens to vegetals as Pure&Paint, lot of brands high quality chemicalless paints, Algo, Liberon, Circouleur, Colibri, Envie, EriKA, POD’PAINT, RESSOURCE, RIPPOLIN, ZOLPAN (best professional paint) etc.. the best in Europe, not the kind of brands you 'll find to homedepot, and cheaper than Litle Green or others fashioned Italian paints at the moment, lets try ERIKA its my fav actually, don't forget i'm talking about paints reliability through centuries, not fashioned you'll change every 10 years! good luck

  7. First time wallpapering!? You guys are amazing! You literally have the most beautiful chateau I have ever seen. Thank you for giving us a tour of where you all stay during workshops. Of course you could just do video tours and we would all love it!!

  8. Don’t you have a fully renovated apartment on the top floor? I don’t think I’ve seen it mentioned since Stephanie’s original tour or maybe your first vid? I thought you’d be living there rather than moving rooms around. Love the new prince!

  9. Prince Wendell is so precious😘🐶 Re:British paint, Amanda from @chateaudelingourdy loves working with @earthbornpaints delivered to them in France from @english_paint_delivered. 10. What a chore obtaining and managing supplies for guests and family—and managing them so the supplies don’t walk, or if they do, being able yo track the supplies so you can potentially bill guests or family members for items as you are running a business. The moving rooms, well, as you are a business, I imagine there are guest rooms and dedicated family rooms or will need to be. Also not easy to do with family and who has final and ultimate say or is there compromise even with rooms. A harder job than it appears-shipping and receiving and supply maintenance and inventory, separating family and business and living together as a family; last but not least producing video of the whole processes and journey to entice and maintain current and future business. Great job and a hard job!!🎉❤

  11. Welcome, 45:15 Prince Wendell. You are a cutie. You and Truobador will be best buds.
I am glad you changed the little green paint. I like the present one much better. I love the changes and updates you all made.
I think I watched the workshop first, then the prep video after. I really can appreciate all of your work more now, between the injuries, the all nights. In the end it was a huge success, so congratulations to you all.
    Best wishes always.❤

  12. Love you sharing your wonderful life journey with us! I love how you explain the process of your meticulous planning of your business and how committed you all are. Each one of you brings your character and talents to the essence of the chateau. We are all wanting you to succeed which I have no doubt you will. The chateau is spectacular and oozes charm! You must pinch yourselves to think you are living in this reality. I know it’s a massive amount of workload but hope you get time to smell the roses and just breathe.

  13. This video is so special because of baby Wendall that I had to watch it again today! Thanks for sharing precious puppy and Troubadour with us! Like how the organization/inventory is progressing. Yes, I agree, the wine glasses for business should be kept separate!

  15. While you're describing how you have to move rooms around before each event, I enjoyed watching Troubadour in the background trying to sneak up on the cat and the cat having none of it.🙂
