I see this as just one aspect of problems in Peterson' thinking – the irony in just the title of his own podcast.
Common! The strive for money that’s in consequence power has being always part of the system that’s base of the capitalist state.
Didn’t ford per example made deals with the nazi?
Is the structure of money that allows the evil in the world.
But again, the paper it self or the numbers it self aren’t the problem, the problem is the unwillingness of humanity to change the system.
Because we have to admit, money only worth something because “we the people” agree to it!
There are ways to show the system we don’t want their products, I our majority we can create enough impact to change things in this earth.
Or are we so submerge in to the habits that the monetary system allows that we are incapable to move outside of it?, or even stop the dependency for most of the detrimental programs, products the system implements, drugs, narcotics, alcohol, music, movies, extreme religious groups…
The answers to that question to my respect is “yes” we are, the majority of earth population is hopeless to the system and it’s programs and products.
Truth is something you search for, not something you invent.
Why did a paster shun me after I requested help with shelter from the church in a town where I moved to for the sake of a job?
The poor are being "helped" to stay where they are at.
If a person is not in prison, why do they have to have a background check to get a place to live or work.

"Faith" isn't just a free standing word. We don't have faith in an idea, but a person. Jesus Christ, fully God, fully man, who came to earth, and sacrificed Himself to save us from sin and death, only He could. He invites us to know Him personally within our souls, through The Holy Spirit that [after He died and rose from the dead] , He sent to indwell within true belivers.
John 3:16 For God so Loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him, will not perish but having every lasting life."
CRITICAL……..The word "Believe", in the original language means, [Trust in, reley on, commit to ones trust]. It's sublime, profound and simple.
I agree with what they are saying,; but it’s hard to listen to this with the profanity and using Gods name as a curse word.
Peterson asks Metaxas the right question, "So how do you know what you think is good is the truth?" Metaxas has yet to discover the guiding truth of Genesis 3 that the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil leads to death." BOTH our knowledge of good and evil lead to death. Doing good as Metaxas defines it cannot bring the everlasting life which only comes through Jesus. Jesus came to make us alive, not to make us good. When "good" people try to make the world "good" they will only find themselves discouraged and burned-out. Christians are the only vessels which have the gospel which brings true life through Christ. Christians focus on what brings life, not on what others deem good.
