The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a 2017 action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U consoles. The game is a part of The Legend of Zelda series and is set at the end of its timeline. The player controls an amnesiac Link, who awakens from a hundred-year slumber and is tasked with saving Princess Zelda and preventing Calamity Ganon from destroying the world. Similar to the original 1986 Legend of Zelda, players are given minimal instruction and can explore the open world freely. Released on March 3, 2017, Breath of the Wild was a launch game for the Nintendo Switch and the final Nintendo-published game for the Wii U. Two waves of downloadable content were released in 2017 via an expansion pass. Breath of the Wild received universal acclaim. It won several Game of the Year awards and has since been cited as one of the greatest video games of all time. Breath of the Wild is also the top selling game in the series and one of the best-selling video games of all time, selling more than 30 million copies by 2022. A spin-off, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, was released in 2020; a sequel, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, is scheduled for 2023.

  1. This was one of my favourite sections in the entire game! Also I just have to say that this series is great because after playing over 200 hours of Tears of the Kingdom this game somehow feels fresh

    Loving the play through Ryan! Been stuck on the couch with a broken foot and your channel’s helping me get through it.
    Plenty of great content left in this game, and then I get to make my way through your Pikmin and Hollow Knight stuff. Lots of great videos to hold me over until you’re ready for totk.

Until watching you do this and hearing you comment that each chamber seems to correspond to a different region, I NEVER put together that each chamber is based on each region…and I have over 1000 hours in this game across multiple playthroughs. Just goes to show that even if you play this game a ton, you are always discovering new things! 😅

  19. Considering watching the Pikmin. Funny enough another Youtuber who I found from BOTW recommended it in his livestream yesterday. I'd never heard of it and was curious and thought I'd seen it on my feed but didn't click who was posting it.

    Was SCREAMING when you walked away from Goron room without activating terminal! Wondered how long until you noticed!
