The Netherlands has seen the light and has aligned themselves with the US. They bring their mighty German built fleet to the fight! It certainly improved the morale of our crews anyway.

Oh dear, quite the video haul we've gotten today!
Funny how the AI countries end up deciding on one of their colonies as their absolute last line of defence, and insist on that territory not falling at any cost. A good chance for your crews to get some training!
Unfortunately there is only so much your mod work can do. You're trying to pull as much horsepower as possible out of an engine with bad parts. So much credit though for what you've been able to do in spite of that. I've also noticed the lack of armor in this version with the beta mod, but its still miles better than vanilla generation…
Yeah… Admiral Hipper.. wow. I mean, I'm kind of desensitized to sub-par AI designs and I do like seeing old ships in later years of a campaign…but..wow. Definitely a candidate for an artificial reef program.
So do you have to be going " cruise speed" the get more accuracy or does just going slower help in general?
When you build your next battleship, maybe have a few larger secondaries
Day 8 of posting a obligatory comment to boost engagement
January 20 1922
From Captain Lorenzo Ferrari, Captain of USS Virginia
To: Admiral Hugh Rodman, Commander of the US Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbour.
Sir, I'm pretty sure you got Admiral Cutter's report about our encounter with the Germans, but I've got to say some personal opinions and point of view.
The enemy Battlecruiser, from what I've seen, is a design that has potential, but lacks of the resistance to withstand our guns, and that's a good thing, but she's still a threat to our smaller ships.
But what concerns me is not the enemy vessels or their crew, that, despite having ships that are mediocre at best, especially the cruisers, are pretty professionals and fierce. No, what concerns me is my own officers, and I hate to do this, because I know most of them for years, since I came on board in 1916, and many were fellow bridge officers of mine since then, but I have to report two of them, luckily for me, both new additions to the crew, for Dangerous Behavior and Dangerous Actions During Battle.
The first one is the Navigation Officer, John Abrams Turner. He acted really dangerously during the battle, badly setting the course and causing Admiral Cutter's rage towards me for bad managing of the crew because Turner steered our ship almost right in front of Cutter's flagship, the USS Massacchussets, Almost causing a case of Friendly Fire.
The second one is the Gunnery Officer of my ship, Jacob Butler Clarks. I have no words to describe his behavior during the Battle apart from "Shitty Aim" and "Almost caused Friendly Fire". In fact, not only he missed a lot of shots that EVERYONE could hit at that distance (less than 10km with a 14" gun, and he managed to miss almost every shot), but also deliberately fired all guns to the enemy Light Cruiser Graudenz WITHOUT ORDER TO DO SO and right in the moment when the Battlecruiser USS United States WAS IN THE WAY OF THE SHOTS, almost hitting her and almost causing the death of Vice Admiral Johnson, that was on board.
Sir, I attend Reply for instructions to treat both Officers (I put them in the Brig for now)
Captain Lorenzo Ferrari

You call that "some" armor?!
42:30 looks like captain king is angry
I still kind of wish if you get a ship to surrender due to casulties there was a chance of getting to keep it if you win the battle.
At 1:41 I noticed the Destroyer USS Hambleton. That's actually the name of a real minesweeper destroyer aboard which my father served from 1950-52 during the Korean war (he saw no action… they spent most of the time in the Mediterranean and the north Atlantic). I used to have two laminated B&W photos of that ship in port… no idea whatever happened to them.
Still waiting for the 1.1 and 5 inch "anti air" battery to be implemented
That ship looks like a trawler in the thumbnail
Beer and bratwurst in their cargo holds, and you would DARE fire on such a vessel?! Such a travesty!
Clearly there's a hate relationship going on between the devs and the AI builder. Whatever the devs do, the AI interprets as DO 180 deg of what he/she says. On a funnier note, the AI had a nasty reaction to armor that it decides to stay 250 miles from it. I wish you know how to code so that you can include it in your WONDERFUL mod!!! I would've modded the game BUT I can't justify spending that kind of money on a game in hard times like now.
A.I still broken?
Running into torpedoes, is your superpower đ
The AI needs something that tells it that it doesn't need enormous firepower on the smallest ship possible. All I can think of is that the battlecruiser being only 23k tons had used all its displacement on the 3 15 inch turrets and the 4 10 inch turrets.
Wanted to share a funny battle from my own US 1890s campaign. Decided to remove the S from Spain. Third battle, my Battleship Kansas is ambushed by four heavy cruisers, 7 light cruisers, and a torpedo boat. Only ships left floating were three Spanish light cruisers. Kansas went down fighting, and earned a Kansas II and two others of the class being built.
Also, the AI seems to really dislike putting armor on their ships. Iâve had 2 inch guns go through a battleshipâs main belt at two kilometers.
I know itâs a long way of but I canât wait for the Montana
I must have missed a build. Pagoda + Cage on a USN BB? Call it the USS Nicholas Cage.
Battle of the Dogger Banks
New York Evening Journal: Hearst Communications
MCMXXI: 19 December 1921
The Shenandoah class Battlecruiser USS Rocket BC-2, from the Bilbao Naval Base in the Basque Region, accompanied by the Koninklijke Marine German built ships Admiral Hipper, a Roon class armored cruiser, and Niobe, a Hamburg class protected cruiser, the Dutch having dropped Germany as an ally after 1910 and Spain as an ally with their dissolution, naturally turned to America. Rocket and the Dutch were operating in the North Sea east of Britain over the Dogger Banks when they found two Gepanzerkreuzter, the Kormoran class BlĂźcher and the Prinz Eugen class Saxony, along with the Rostock class Leichter Kreuzer NĂźrnberg.
When Rocket spotted funnel smoke to the east she moved to investigate. The Dutch ships were too slow to keep up with Rocket, so they were allowed to proceed as they thought best. Rocket sighted the German ships on the horizon, and identifying them as enemy warships, turned to open her broadside and fired her 14â guns. BlĂźcher took the first solid hit, a flooding penetration over her engineering spaces that disabled #2 and #3 engines. BlĂźcher and Saxony were trying to close on the Dutch ships, which wisely turned and drew the Germans out while Rocket sniped them from distance. BlĂźcher soon lost #1 engine as well, and turned away while NĂźrnberg raced towards Rocket.
NĂźrnberg got a hit on Rocket as she closed, but a minor one. NĂźrnberg pulled back and Rocket targeted Saxony. Once Saxony was damaged Rocket targeted NĂźrnberg and managed to hit the swift and maneuverable ship with one shell. NĂźrnberg sank with 386 of her 404 man crew.
Fire shifted, and Saxony, already flooded aft with all engines disabled, took a flooding hit forward. She sank with 861 of her 911 man crew. BlĂźcher was also stalled, with flooding forward and no engine power. A pair of ranging shots fell off her starboard beam, then Rocket fired her six remaining guns. Three hits and BlĂźcher sank with 1114 of her 1136 man crew.
USS Rocket BC-2 had taken 4 casualties. Admiral Hipper and Niobe turned back to help collect the 90 German survivors.
13:45: Aw, someone was mean to Massachusetts. Poor girl needs a spa day.
14:06: What is this fascination the AI has with unmatched funnels?
