A man identified as Akeil Hinds of Welcome Road, Cunupia was found shot to death at Galibia Drive, Ragoonanan Road in Cunupia early on Thursday 16th November, 2023.
• Around 9:25am, residents of Galibia Drive heard a series of explosions.
• Upon investigating, they observed a white Kia truck parked on the roadway and Hinds’ body approximately 200 feet away with multiple gunshot wounds.
• The police and emergency health services were notified and a team of officers led by Sgt Bagoo and Sgt Brisbane responded.
• However, by the time they arrived at the scene, Hinds had succumbed to his injuries.
• A DMO was summoned to the scene, viewed the body and ordered its removal pending a post-mortem.
This was the second murder that took place in the Cunupia area for the month thus far.
Just on Friday 03rd November, 2023, 49-year-old Sharon Bedassie was found shot to death in a gravel road off the Southern Main Road in Warrenville, Cunupia.
