  1. FINALLY, I see my post!!
The goal of the server is not to be a scam. It's to foster chat/banter/ideas being exchanged.
I don't want to remain the owner of the server. Once the owner of the this channel initiate communication wit me, I'll transfer it over.
I'm a programmer at heart, so I'll be doing a bot for the server. Details of it will appear in the announcements channel.

  2. Another of these "humans-are-oh-so-special" stories with plot holes so big to drive an intergalactic species inhibiting space station thru… Additionally the author has obviously no idea how organisations work

  3. I dug the story, But, it was way too condensed.. Like telling the story of WW2 liberation of Europe from D-Day to the fall of Berlin in a 10 minute lecture. Could have made it in a 2 or 3 installment story .. Would have made a. "good " tale into a Great story……..

  4. The underlying the idea is interesting, but the narrative details are … illogical … again and again.
I stopped listening half way through, so I can't tell if the story in its entirety is bad enough for a "thumbs down", but here's what I can tell you:
    * Your story suffers from the Hollywood Disease – "We have only a budget for 3 actors, a bit for CGI for one ship, but none for supporting roles or extended worldbuilding. But our average viewer only has 5 brain cells, so we have to keep things simple anyway. Therefore it's perfectly fine if those 3 "heroes" solve all the puzzles, overcome all challenges and save the galaxy all by themselves, while billions of other humans … don't do anything."
    * The message/purpose/technology "deciphering" is completely ****, this is not how these things work. You might get a hint that a signal has been travelling through space for a long time, yes. Or you might detect that a structure has been in space for a long time. To make any assumptions about the message/content/structure of the signal, you need something to compare it too, or you need to physically access the transmitter station and/or a receiver to either crack the transmission protocol or dig out the raw data from the computers directly.
    * Make up your mind, what the HORIZON and it's crew is. A warship that fought in the front lines of the last war? A special forces ship? A long range scout? All this will put constrains on it's capabilities and those of its crew – consider what you want/need for your story.
    * If a scout ship with such important data comes back, it won't simply dock and it's crew gather in the tea kitchen to solve the puzzle. Likewise, it seems unlikely that those who want to "contain humanity" would simply let them go – or let them arrive at earth without taking any further measures, especially considering that they seemingly know about "the humans"?!
    * etc … sorry , I don't have the time to list everything or rewrite you story now. Maybe later, if I remember to come back to it.
