The Prosecutors and Judge Dorow did a great job together putting this case through while creating a great record for the appeals courts to look at. Judge Dorow crafted a bullet proof record that will seal the deal for Brooks spending the remainder of his days in prison where he belongs.

It’s horrible enough to have your loved one murdered, but to have to sit through a trial with this creature representing himself, is asking too much of the families.
Tragically, we regularly ignore all the knowledge and experience of trial judges, as almost none of them ever make it to the Supreme Court. Those folks are almost always law professors before they serve on an appellate court, and then from there, they’re appointed to SCOTUS. We desperately need more former defense attorneys on the bench, and fewer prosecutors.

I don’t even understand why this was an argued trial. Every attempt to argue was a direct obstruction of the courtroom proceedings. She was a good one. I would’ve thrown him out and asked if he could be heard by another judge. He is a child by nature.
