  1. I hate β€œhuman hair” size comparisons in these videos. I fully understand WHY you do it. It’s to make it more relatable to the masses. But, please also start including the ACTUAL measurements with the ACTUAL deviations for us science aficionados? It’s OK, we can handle it. Thank you! – Science Geeks

    I watch a lot of stuff, interestingly Sci show stands out in this respect, almost AI-like narration that just isn't for me. Well, I better go watch that other stuff then, bye & cheers!

  3. I want to see a ridiculous headline with maximum repeats of an abbreviations: "At 9:33pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) the GMT (Giant Magellan Telescope) was observing the GMT (Galactic Microwave Topography) and discovered a GMT (Gravitational Micro Turbulence) event in progress!" 🀣

  4. 700 petabytes a year? for scientists all over the world? lmao good luck with that…. we will have to mail the data to scientists around the world because our internet, in particular upload, is worse that most 3rd world countries…… Australia is trying to fly before it learns to crawl.

  5. Vera Rubin Observatory absolutely deserves a mention here! Astro Alexandra did a wonderful job covering the breadth of different telescope technology, and is a great presenter and communicator – would love to see more long form content from her! <3 Vera Rubin, in my opinion though, is more exciting than all of these covered in this video – whilst it's yet another ground-based optical telescope, it brings two game-changing features – constant observation across the whole night sky, and an acompanying alert system for when it notices things changing. This isn't just exciting for academics, but for amateur stargazers, who will be asbolutely vital in following up these alerts and diving deep into the changes detected. Be it new intersellar comets passing through the solar system, or new super nova, Vera Rubin opens the door for not just fantastic discoveries, but for yet more amazing citizen science! <3

  7. The observable universe expanding faster and faster seems like such an easy thing to answer. As it gets bigbecause the light outside, it is finally reaching our eyes a bigger circle. We'll move faster than a smaller circle. Even if they're actually moving at the same speed, it will appear faster. So it's not actually getting faster faster. It just appears faster and faster. Because we're so tiny and it's so big. As it gets bigger, it will just seem faster.

  10. Not to seem a luddite (I have always been into science) but exactly how, as a species, do we benefit from these multi-$Billon science projects? I can see the utility of exploring physics and chemistry. The more we know about how things go together the better we can be at making the things we need or want. So basic research is ultimately useful and worth the expense. But how do we as a species benefit from research into astrophysics? Please help me to understand. (Now let the opprobrium begin from all the people who did not read my introductory sentences and consider me to be merely an anti-science luddite.)
