  1. Great video as always Advisor Lorne. Always look forward to your cut content of DanMachi. This week's episode was good overall.

But like you a bit disappointed that some of the scenes with the Xenos were cut out. Along with the fights not being as intense.

  2. Sadly we cant hear the inner thoughts of monsters, they really add to the story.
Still good episode, but yeah, I feel like the way the monsters disappear and how Bell and Ryu look relatively clean for what they're going through makes it a bit too… sanitized? Kind of lost hope that they're going to really depict them as close to biting the dust as they are, but it's been a great adaptation so far so as long as they stick the landing it'll be the best season yet.

  3. I kind of hope the final episode of the season is more centered on the aftermath of what happened for the season. As in, the members of the expidition team talking and coming to terms with what they went through and also the greater ramifications of the Juggernaught becoming known to other familia's. I'd also like to see what Ais reaction might be to hearing about the incident

  4. I like the Ryu flashbacks being before the OP, how it cuts to their grave once the OP plays.

I'm hyped for the Colosseum episode. The Hestia Familia part of th story concluded so they can focus on the Colosseum without worry. I really hope they do it justice, it's the biggest thing I was looking forward to.

At this rate I doubt they'll be able to adapt vol 15 stuff in the 22 ep slot. Possibly the bare minimum required stuff in the last episode maybe. I hope they planned 2 OVAs to round out the season kinda like how Mushoku Tensei had an OVA to round out it's first season (23 ep + 1 OVA).

  5. If the anime has a narrator describing the difficult to explain nuances, info dumps and the monsters thoughts will help a lot in translating the novels to anime form

Just like in Astrea Record, Astrea is the narrator, in Argonaut we have Orna, and then in Knights of Fianna we have Ryulu. Hestia could be the narrator in the anime

  6. Only 4 more episodes left? what a travesty. I was assuming they would've ended the season in Babel, where Bell was recovering, then gets hits by Hestia and other girls for seeing Ryu's boobs when she goes running after him. Looks like that may not happen this season. The following volume DanMachi Light Novel Volume 15 isn't very action packed. I wonder if 15, 16, and 17 will be just one anime season. If this is the case it may be another 2 years before we see the anime again.

  7. Thank you so much for this episode. I think the end of season 4 opens up a very important discussion. Though the anime cannot fully express the desperation of this arc, I think it’s only fair to say that Danmachi has kept an amazing animation quality and anime only fans are feeling the intensity of the situation. That scene with Bell and the poison is amazing. Shows with high pace (like Naruto and Haikyuu) tend to have a huge quality dip as they advance but Danmachi is just as gorgeous as season 1 and we gotta acknowledge the effort

  8. To be honest I could care less about how desperate and brutal the fight against the monsters was in the light novel because the anime did such a great job at showing Bell adapting to the deep floors by using the attacks of the barbarians to kill the others of their kind this is one thing season 4 does great is expanding upon certain moments and giving them more depth to make up for some parts in the light novel not being properly adapted

  9. I like how bell's eyes changed while fighting, hes closing in to the way that Ais changes stance to fight seriously, you can see in her eyes.. it's a cool detail if it was meant to be like this…

  10. Yeah in between DanMachi's final episodes Advisor Lorne, I'd recommend watching The Eminence in Shadow and Handyman Saitō in Another World. Really good animes to look into. Really good isekai.

  11. One thing I don’t understand is In episode 18 Fels tells Ryuu that she won’t be punished for what she did against Evilus because of her service In the Astrea familia. But didn’t the guild black list Ryuu?

  12. I really hope for this next upcoming season the way they introduce it is that they leave the scene on a cliffhanger. Bear with me though, because if it was then it give the anime even more fuel to bells fire because then it’s give us the same wistful feeling bell has in the anime. That’s just my perspective however
