A day in my life | Work | Shooting | Sima R
I want to take you through a typical day in my life. Currently, I am in Almaty, and I will show you some of the work I do at my cafe called Chou Chou Eatery. It’s a clean, healthy food place that I own. We also have a shoot scheduled with my team, so let’s get started!
I usually wake up around 6-7am and try to accomplish as much as I can in the morning so that I have more availability in the afternoon. It’s normal for me to schedule a meeting at 8am, and today I will be meeting with a new manager for my cafe (who, by the way, didn’t show up on the second day, lol).
I enjoy spending time with my marketing team, so this is one of those days where we will be shooting together. It’s always a fun!
It happened that this day is also marks two years since my mom passed away. I’m grateful that I have been kept busy all day with the shoot, as it has helped me avoid sinking into sadness.
Although there were a couple of things that I didn’t manage to film, my phone died.
One was missing a doctor’s appointment due to the crazy traffic in Almaty. I still struggle to get used to it. Instead, I had to pick up my little brother from his school party and head to a family dinner that we dedicated to our mom.
