  1. Renee, I remember the days without scanners when the cashier actually had to enter the price of each item by hand. They also knew how to make change and count it back to the customer. πŸ˜‚. Those letters are going to be amazing for you to research. Glad Carol thought to send them to you. Love the respect you give each and every item your viewers send.

  3. I love you chatty style of videos. Fully professionally edited videos with music etc don’t appeal to me so much. I love the history stuff you find. I make junk journals also and love all the paper you collect. My grandfather was a medic in WW 2 and ended up in 3 different concentration camps in Italy. He died in NZ 18 months after returning from the war. I have done a lot of research on him.

  4. Great stuff in the mail today!! Love the German letters! Would there be an older person in your area who speaks German who might be willing to help with translations? There was a woman in my church who helped me with miniature book title translations and dedication pages.πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

  5. My daughter lives in easington where the film Billy Elliott was made. Down the back streets there are bullet holes in the walls from WW2. I often walk down the streets and wonder what it was like. You can't imagine how frightened people would be especially when being shot at.

  6. Hi Sweet Renee. Now to know how I love history. This going to be the best history of the paper. When you finish translating all the information. You can use it for Veterans Day. It is the best part we will understand what really happened to the people out there. The other is the WW2 history as well. This will give you more time to prepare. I love mail day soo much. Thank you Renee for sharing. God Bless you. Your amazing and awesome woman and don't you forget it. Take care love you Renee my friend. One more thing. My Birthday is next Tuesday the 22. Stay safe. 9. Was the cat a Tabby? Is so, can be a table Tabby. Never enough time well, if you ever seen the old TV show Hammy Hamster (Tales of the Riverbank) {Google it},they in one escapade needed more time, so they developed a "stopped watch" to achieve this. Now I've got some in a drawer I could send you if that helps? 🀣 Well best of luck, many great items as usual. The books & letters seam very intresting πŸ‘πŸ‘

  10. Oh Renee, people watch your channel for the way it IS! Your interests, perspective, your reactions to finds and events are enough. You present as someone I’d love to share tea and a dessert with not some noisy whirling dervish and annoying music. The content is amazing. If someone wants Hollywood, find another channel I say.

  15. Oh my goodness! What a mail day! I could tell how much that all effected you. It about took your breath away. Oh my. I do love you for your caring kind heart. You think ever u one of our men who served should have their moment. I agree. Especially those who fought in Nam and were treated like filth when they came home. I will never ever get over that. And apparently they havent either. No one probably can get over their fighting days. Bless their hearts. I love you. Stay safe and healthy. β€οΈπŸ˜˜πŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™βœŒοΈπŸ‘Ά

  16. I see Little Pam has a new outfit…got to love those pink boots…I saw a woman sporting nearly the same color/style the other day! You are so right on…2023…is slipping into the past! Oh well…you still are a Leading Lady! I do the same thing with my collections, especially those Victor Talking Machines, radios, records and furniture…who was the original owner, was it a Christmas Gift…with the children dancing to Paul Whitman, mom and dad treasuring the voice of John McCormack, listening to radio dramas, comedy shows…on and on! I recall when a gallon of gas was 35 cents!

  17. A kindred soul. I also study WWII, love pictorials, and history books. Talking about the Civil War, I think back to my visit to Gettysburg. There is a spot indicated where General Lee stood as the remnants of Pickets Brigade filtering back to the line. It was a special moment. Being there is much different than video or books!

  18. Talking about WWII history in the US, the POW camps that were here are what I find interesting. My interest started from Camp Tyson here in Tennessee. Tyson was originally the only training center for barrage balloons, it also served as a prisoner of war camp for German and Italian POWs. In my research that started out was just to find out about Tyson, I had to find out what barrage balloons are and then on to the POW's. It was new to me that there were POW camps here in the US. Keep up the videos, I'll keep watching. (but I still would like to know about the tattoo under the band aid)

  19. Your Civil War diaries have been the topic of conversation between me and several friends. They have also been mentioned in answer to other channel posts. Most Civil War diaries are gifted to small town historical places or libraries. I mention this again because a few people have used these sources as a means to a master's degree. If these diaries are written by women they are of 3xtra interest. They didn't have time to write.
    Always enjoy your channel.

  21. Hello Renee. I just got the chance to watch this video. I’ve been so busy all week and I’m going to have a busy weekend. But this was a wonderful mail day. Love the little moose for Pam. The letters should be really interesting to read. I hope you don’t get frustrated with re learning German, I think it’s a tricky language but I know once you get going on it it will be easy for you to pick up again . Take care. πŸ•΅πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ•΅πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ•΅πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ•΅πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ•΅πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ•΅πŸΌβ€β™€οΈβ˜•οΈπŸ«–β˜•οΈπŸ«–β˜•οΈπŸ«–πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―

  22. German is easy to read, but the problem is that germans have this malfuction in the mouth area that will distort whatever they try to say into something … that sounds like an old VW beetle with damaged cylinder. But it's better than the french, they don't have a language at all.
