  1. I'll never own one of these automated POS. Their auto pilot system has massive problems with crash avoidance. The question is who was actually in control of the vehicle they that was legally under the limit or the AI control

  2. FSD is so easy to disengage that someone with even a little alcohol or any other “stuff” in their system could turn it off by tugging on the wheel just a little too hard or bumping the brake pedal. Also, when FSD disengages there is no warning to draw your attention to the fact that the driver now must steer and/or handle speed related control. So, if you’re even a little fuzzy, following the status of the system can be difficult. Even if you’ve had nothing to drink, keeping track of the FSD status can be a challenge. However, the driver is always the party responsible for FSD’s actions.

  3. I think it is unbelievable if they couldn’t tell if it was in auto or not ! Such a technology and they don’t know ? BS ! Cars older than that and less tech . Know if you braked ,Throttle, speed and I’m sure there is more , even there gps beacon for new cars on loans , even on star , they probably even know if you took a Duce 😂😂😂, they have that sensor on the driver seat,😂😂😂

  4. The driver, even when the autopilot system is engaged, is ALWAYS responsible for the performance of the vehicle. It doesn't matter if an autopilot system was enabled, the driver operates the system and is responsible for the performance of the system if it screws up. Tesla warns drivers to pay attention at all times when autopilot is engaged. If the system screws up the driver is responsible for taking control of the vehicle, full stop.

  5. With all the computers and monitoring of vh nowadays, I'm surprised there is no 'black box' like planes have. It would have to be saved to cloud or super fireproof box tho.
    I pray the survivors heal.

  6. Autopilot wouldn’t be responsible either way in my opinion. As the driver, it’s your responsibility to take control of the car any time you see it’s necessary. If you’re on the highway and the car starts veering, you turn the autopilot off and take control immediately. I don’t use the autopilot on mine very often, but when I use it, I’m 100 percent attentive and ready to take control at a moments notice.

  7. This is bad publicity for Tesla and that's why they're doing everything they can to make it look like human error. An average Joe going up against the richest people in the world really don't stand a chance

  8. Why didn’t anybody test the mother’s blood for alcohol? Here’s what I think happened. The father was driving home like normal and the crazy woman in the passenger seat was probably acting a fool and she grabbed the steering wheel and caused the accident. Not that hard to understand.
