Love the vid , have been watching so much of your content recently , your casting on the pro civ 6 stuff has been amazing ! , One small thing I could mention is that you could have spent a few mins explaining this game alittle more ,other than that I can't fault you ! Keep up the good work and keep them twitch primes rolling in 😂
wow I never use enslave. Funny how people play differently. In my opinion I want a high population city, to work a lot of tiles and reap all that sweet gold and hammer yield. you on the other hand are keeping your population low and getting the benefits from enslave. I wonder which is better!
Seems like an interesting game. Usually thinning decks cost resources rather than provide resources in deckbuilding games but here it looks interesting.
Potato: "I really really like this game it's so cool" Spiff: "Hellooooo Ladies and Gentlemen, I am the Spiffing Brit and today we are going to be exploiting a new game much like Civ except as a CARD GAME!"
Loved the demo, can't wait for the full game. I would suggest easier citizen swaps, maybe even for free. I didn't realise I can move them until 3rd game. Also learning curve is kinda weird. First game went horribly, but the others were extremly easy, all I had to do was follow a specific card path and I was OP very soon. Also visual recommendation for devs- move the money icon a bit. It is completly covered by the cannel avatar, so the viewer can't see the gold amount of the player.
I could see this game being REALLY good if the devs include mod support. Modding and further work by the devs could keep this game going and evolving for quite some time.
Interesting! The developers of Hexarchy might be onto something big. It's actually baffling, that there hasn't been a computer or board game like this before that combines hexes with such card play. But this might want a game mode with drafting to balance out luck of the draw and offer more interesting decisions. Keeping drafting optional might be smart though. Also, it's paramount that the cards and directions you can take are balanced out well so that there is no best way to do things. UI can be improved, for example it's not smart to show cards fanned out like in a real hand, showing them side-by-side without rotation is better in software. I somehow like the low poly graphic (especially the mountain tiles). On the other hand it wouldn't hurt to improve the graphics later when the game is done.
I hope these review style videos contine to do well enough to be worth making. I'm always on the lookout for an enjoyable stripped back game that'll work on my clunker of a laptop or a tablet.
19:45 I've been playing Thea 2 recently, and the image on the forage card here looks exactly the same as Thea's image for the gathering skill. I'm pretty sure it's the same image.
21:30 Major Civ7 leak!
"Basically we want to be enslaving every turn at our capital" – ?
Can I quote you on that Potato?
loving the Skyrim lumbermill icons hahaha
The fact that you can burn down capital cities makes this whole game factually based.

graphics suck
It’s almost like civ6 made a baby with settlers of Catan
I was watching the video, then went on to do some stuff for a few hours, came back, and I had left it at exactly 24:26
Absolute gold.

It is all about the cones
This is literaly the "when you have a REALLY good turn in a card game" video into a real game
This looks cool. Hopefully its not expensive coz this doesn't look like an CA$80 game
I believe in the heart of this card game – Potato # not sponsored
China gets Ancestral Recall? That seems very balanced 😛
pretty neat.
I would love you to play this game at least 2 more times on the channel. It would be neat.
OOOOH
I'd love to see a game with yogscast!

Pls more, really like the gameplay
I had a similar idea for a card game revolving around a similar concept to Civ
Tropico 6 Next Gen has a population cap increase to 10,000! I hope you do more vids on it now with a mega city🙏🏾 Big fan
"Sometimes you make decisions" that's a senior quote and a half XD
ah yes, reminds me about when i wanted to make a tabletop version of civ for a long time but every time it felt off

It looks awesome.
oh heck this is genius. I love playing this.
Love that the image for the lumbermill card is a lumbermill from skyrim
It's very neat but it does feel a wee bit derivative …
this was a lot of fun
lol I thought 'wake up honey' was the name of the game! I love that name now lol
Only about 5 and a half minutes in but this game seems REALLY cool!

Where do we buy this?
Looks interesting id def play this in the future ^^
So…. card wars from adventure time?

I like the claim territory mechanic, seems like it could work for civ 6…
Fantastic title, clicked it instantly
Captures enemy capital. Razes it to the ground. Like the good old days.
A Magic the Gathering Civilization game!?
Wow

so when will this fully be released? i would like to try this game out.
I summon: organized labor! It allows me to draw 3 CARDS! Roll my dice!
komentarz
Would love to see more of this.
It seems there could be a tech focus strategy where you burn cards aggressively to push fast up the tech tree
