  1. Might not be the only boss that is bugged. Right now only cheesing the hardest optional boss gives consistent results, nothing in the game or other FromSoft games comes even close to how bullshit she is. I think it has to be a bug, like her not having a low poise like she should have all the time because nobody is having fun fighting her. Then theres also the Blood Dogs, who sometimes fully stack you with bleed twice with one single bite and kill you instantly. Its a big game, some bugs are bound to slip through the cracks.

  2. Tree spirit freezing is so a thing, I just did it and all you need to do is break it’s posture when it doing it’s explosion aoe transform attack. If you are able to do the crit animation then the boss just sit there. You don’t need the bleed proc.

  3. Its these bosses that make loathe the input buffering and input delay built into the game. Sekiro had no input buffering and low to no input delay and the game felt so fluid. I don't quite remember my dodge inputs being buffered in side a knock down animation in past souls games.

  4. there are some things you really need to unlearn in this game coming from other fromsoft games. like being able to ride a horse in a fight, the viability of jumping attacks, or summon doggos outside of Grace hole range. i tried (and succeeded) beating Fort Haight Dark Souls style and it was an utter pain in the ass.

  5. 1:22:39 Those Horizon Devs brought up the point that having UI options is nicer than just having one layout, and I'd agree with that. But the success of Elden Ring is proof that it's not essential, and they're just sniffing their own farts by saying that their way is objectively better when the sales prove that it doesn't matter.

  6. The exact same situation with the AI breaking happened to me when I fought the Ulcerated Tree Spirit, but because I was using a starting character at base level 8 and subsequently had low DPS, I got to find out that it doesn't stay broken: the AOE, either by timer or by damage taken, will go off again and after that it's back to normal.

  7. Just to let you know Woolie, hits in a combo deal MORE damage the further you are in the combo. So the second hit will deal more than the first, the third more than the second, etc. As such its meaningful to try and hit more than once. Also, and this is VITAL, if you can go for a heavy, you should go for a jump heavy instead. More damage and TONS more poise damage to the boss.

  8. I don't know if you could call it an AI break, but I once got a roaming Tree Sentinel boss stuck in a loop of horse-dodging in a small circle; I took off more than 50% of its life – and got the kill – by staying on him and swinging. We take those.

  9. On the note of characters using a boat as a weapon, in later Dynasty Warriors games there is a character whose weapon is actually a weaponized canoe he holds like a shield, and swings around with a blade attached to the bow of it.

  10. The Dragon Burnt Ruins was the first area I went to. That chest teleported me all the way out into Caelid (and didn't give me the twinblade). I didn't have Torrent, because it was the first place I went, and also didn't know that you could teleport to Sites of Grace so I walked back from the Sellia Crystal Tunnel to Limgrave at lvl 1. I'm glad I went that way though because I was able to get quite a few good items early on.

    Edit: Nevermind, different basement.
