Hi there! Welcome to our picks of the best looking indie games out this April 2023. See anything you like? Be sure to let us know here in the comments – same for anything our this April wemight have missed. Cheers!
Another great vid. Curse of the Sea Rats looks excellent. Bring back more 4 player couch co-op!
Wow. What a list to look forward to! I'd only heard of two of these titles. All look intriguing. Fingers crossed they all turn out well.
dredge?
All of these look good but if I’m honest Mailtime looks to be exactly what I’m in the mood for. I’ve been looking for a new cozy game. That looks right up my cozy alley. Great video as always bud.
so hyped for hunt the night and curse of the dead rats. any thoughts on mageseeker? its a league of legends spinoff so not quite indie, but it is developed by the moonlighter dev. looks fun
Benedict Fox is the only one that interests Me – mainly for the story – the boss fight in the demo (As per usual was terrible – Boss fights are just usually so crap) – I need more to do in games these days other than just kill things endlessly.
So many awesome games!! Looking forward to Hunt the night, dredge, the last case of benedict fox, afterimage, ravenswatch and tinhearts.
i want a game where you fly as the drone operator to drop F1 granades on invaders in trenches. You win point by how many invaders you 300 or 200. The more points you get, the better the munitons + harder missions, and better drones with mission details like
– where the invaders can shoot back, with EM jammers, AA guns,
– side missions like Assault drone support. Kamikazi drone operation, R18 drone operation. Artillery support.
– Quiz like surveilence tests on how many vehicles you can identify. drone on drone fighting, drone recovery..
– danger like if you predict where a drone is above your head and need to take cover or call in support
– self defence by attacking drone with rifle or shot gun or EM devices.
THIS IS the GAME WE WANT.
I'm very much looking forward to Strayed Lights! In addition to what you already mentioned, Austin Wintory scored it and I'm sure he did what he always does: give his work a spin he hasn't before!
Meat grinder=crank movie by Jason Statham. I'm in.
Bramble: The Mountain King is also out this month and looks fantastic
😮 Last Case… & Afterimage ✨🙌🏽
Great list! Most, if not all of these look amazing.
My actual most anticipated game this month slightly ahead of Afterimage is Wildfrost. It comes out on the 12th for Steam and Switch. I've been playing the demo on my Switch and loving it!
I'm most hyped for the Tin Hearts. I would've liked it if it was just a 'Lemmings like', but it also reportedly has a deep storyline, revolving around the creator of the toys and his family.
Ravenswatch is not couch co-op unfortunately. Only online co-op.
1:02 it's funny sometimes how we think we see something, but it's something different. In the case of the timestamp, he believes the glider is the character's hat, but it's actually a letter (presumably one they are about to deliver) that's used as a glider 🙂
Very good selection for this month, thanks a lot for your work
Hey there my friends been a while hope you have been doing well
Shadows of Doubt is missing. Releasing April 24th.
For metroidvania fans I would suggest also Lone Fungus, a great kickstarter game made by just one guy. It's coming out of early access on april 7th
Hell yeah Afterimage is my drill
all this sidescroller and rouge like, TBH when you played one you basically played them all, this is why I love japanese dev, they think out of the box
