We REMOVED the TECH TREE for a wipe and this is what happened… – Rust

So Bloo Lagoon did a little experiment. We removed the tech tree for a wipe to see how it would effect progression and whether or not it would make the game more exciting. I definitely saw a difference in gameplay and a LOT went down, especially on the second day. Make sure you stay tuned for part two which will be coming out soon!

  1. I much better like the no tech tree rust. I miss the old days honestly. Where you could build on cliffs and rocks, you had to find all the blueprints, it’s so watered down with the tech tree now. A 7 year old diving in the ocean can have tier 3 weapons on day 2 of wipe lol

  2. I believe that you should make a separate server that does only the no tech tree wipes, they feel like such a fresh breath of air from all the scrap grinding and lack of players

  3. So from what I can tell, removing tech tree didn't really do anything, at least for large groups. Just makes it even harder for solo's to progress.
