Kinderguardian Reacts to Season of the Hunt

I REALLY LIKED THIS SEASON OKAY. SUE ME. I don’t know how to deal with our soap opera drama though of Petra bestie and Crow bestie, that’s gonna get messy later on.

  1. The only reason no one liked it was because everyone was still upset over causes death and to see him be the one to try to change it didn’t sit right with everyone at first once you get to season of the lost you’ll get a lot more info on crow uldren and Mara so be ready for a shocker

  2. WHat is truely sad about this is in the lore. There Crow gets killed my other guardians because he was Uldren. He does not understand and even when he conseals himself he keeps the distance. Another guardian tried to come close but he ran and it's just really sad to see his fate being like this, while Crow can do nothing to prevent what Uldren has done

  3. I loved this season because it was MY first Destiny season and it began the Uldren/Crow redemption arc. People have to understand that this season suffered from the impacts of COVID. Bungie was devoting most of their precious, available time and resources into honing the Beyond Light campaign, of course. Still, it has some of the best character lore. Also, this season hides a HUGE secret that leads into the Witch Queen campaign.

  4. crow is the best boi and must be protected at all costs.

also, there's a lore entry (i forget where it is, if it's in a lore book or on a piece of gear) that details us and crow hanging out and vibing. it's fantastic. all the homies love crow.

  5. In terms of Story, Writing, and bringing back in some mystical feel to everything, Season of the Hunt did an amazing job. I adored Crow. But the activity was very singular, very repetitive, and lost a lot of its fun factor very quickly. The Hawkmoon Quest though? Amazing. One of their best Exotic Quests I think.

  6. SPOILERS UNTIL SEASON OF THE LOST (year 4 season 4)

What the fuck Bungie, did you intend for all these wonderful lines to fly over everyones heads?

Sus meter this season: 3/10. So, the things Osiris says during Season of the Hunt:

Crow: where did you learn so much about the Hive?

"Osiris": Don't ask questions you're not ready to have the answers to.

When we enter the ascendant plane following the High Celebrant

"To think you could enter this plane using nothing but dead essenses."

That's rich coming from Osiris. Would be funny if it was said by Savathun, wouldn't it? Hillarious, I'd say.

"Xivu Arath strikes where Savathun first pushed through the veil and first entered the Dreaming City. Has she no abition of her own?"

  7. It should be noted; Crow is not Uldren. When Lightbearers are first revived they are brought back as blank slates. They have no memories of their past lives, and it's heavily implied that the Traveler replaces what's lost with some of itself – hence our ability to run, fight, shoot and speak with no memories or education fresh out of the grave.

Almost everything that made Uldren as dislikable as he was came from centuries of neglect, manipulation and emotional abuse at the hand of Mara Sov. The Traveler resurrecting him undid all of that, leaving us with an entirely different person that had all of his best qualities instead – namely loyalty and a sense of duty, but tempered by a strong moral compass that both Glint and we ourselves would go on to inform and shape.
