Okay, I just want to say that after getting the stones and sticks that are in and around the world spawn, you only need one or two more of each which should be just into the tree line. Do NOT make a club first. It's not actually that important as you have the same result in the end (survival) but it's way more efficient to make an axe first because then you can quickly gather the wood for a club if you feel the need to make one (unless you plan on entering burial mounds or the swamp so early on, the club is completely unnecessary). The axe not only unlocks more opportunity for you quicker, it also does more damage to early mobs than the club.
I don't think that the greylings throw stones. The greydwarfs do indeed toss rocks. They come out of the black forest areas.
I don’t know why I’m watching this, I already know everything lol, it’s a very good guide though👍🏻
I'm new to this game and learned a lot through your tutorials specifically. You are very pleasant to listen to and I like the editing style that makes your videos very concise, yet entertaining. Keep it up, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this guided playthrough!
One small thing, There will ALWAYS be two mushrooms behind Moder's stone and two strawberries behind Yag's stone. It's not a maybe/often phenomenon.
9:02 Not sure how you are able to craft without a roof over your crafting bench…? Mine always requires a roof or it says it is “ too exposed.”
just subscribed to watch this series .
Fantastic. I had no idea you could use the torch as a fire damage dealing club. +1
Just donated on patreon to join the Kysenheim server. Really looking forward to try multiplayer (always played solo) and to start a fresh playtrough. its been so long since ive tried vanilla Valheim 🙂
You forgot to mention that you can often find Bones under the Dolmen structures. And you WILL need bones for crafting.
Also, you didn't pick up any Flint. The Flint spear and knife are good early game weapons!
Love it! Your videos are indeed entertaining! Love to listen to your narration and watch you play. Looking forward to this series!!!
You can still safely get the beehives w/o bows. Just dismantle the house and you should be good to go.
Best dad jokes yet! Wish I had this video when I started. Great video and very helpful hints!
No need for pickaxe for buried ship treasure. Just use a hoe to move the ground around until the chest is exposed. I've never really seen much value though in buried treasure. Typically its only a couple coins and a gem or two, plus maybe some feathers. Kinda pointless when I can get all that in much greater quantities elsewhere. Would be nice if there was more useful treasure in those buried ships.
Hi Kysen, nice guide. Actually i learn something today. There's a lot of new mecanics in the game.
bring on the series! bring on the dad jo….oh,doesn't matter
I found this video and had to subscribe! Can't wait to see more!
Also of note, when you are sneaking up on things, be aware of what direction the wind is blowing. I can't count how many times a deer, that couldn't see me, ran off because the wind blew my scent towards it. So now I stay downwind and can get almost right on top of them.
And, while you are sneaking, a little crossbar appears. If it remains a crossbar, it means nothing can see you. If it shifts to a squinted eye, something can see you, so be aware. If it becomes a full eye, you are visible and should reconsider your strategy.
Thanks for the informational videos and amusing dad jokes!
to get beehive without any gear, just build a workbench and destroy the walls, the beehive will drop
I had no idea about 13:04. Thanks!!
Time stamps would be nice
I really like the "Boar spawn indicator". I suppose that it works for other creatures if they are mentionned in a second paragraph. Nice video btw!
Early game with the Beehives, you can gather enough wood to make a crafting bench, and just remove the wood around the beehive to make it fall down.
Omg, the Valheim jokes were awesome. I’m digging this new series! Keep it up! Edited to say that I have hundreds of hours in the game and still learned something from this video. I didn’t know that starred boars are more likely to spawn around that runestone. Thx!
I personally do not like putting more than two cooking stands over a fire. I tried it and cooking a lot of meat all at once, and I found it is very difficult to focus on each cooking stand and get the meat off in time; I had meat turning into coal like you did here. So I just put two stands on, and cook four pieces of meat at a time. It's slower, but I don't waste meat.
I’m very excited for this play through please keep it up! 😀
Perfect lv of editing here mate iv subbed!
Might want to turn off default music. It gets out after a while
Living vicariously through you, since the update I've been stuck in my moat and refuse to kill myself
Careful with the mushroom flashing, can get into trouble these days doing that sort of thing 😛
This is EXACTLY the type of series I've been looking for over the last couple days. Thank you!
Ah so nice to come home and watch this series. Such a calming game!
YESSSSS I’ve been waiting for you to do this and i am so excited ☺️
@6:30 "Once they get far enough away, Greylings will throw stones at you."
I believe that only Greydwarves throw stones, not the Greylings.
Great video! I have been playing the game for over a month and I still learned so many new things from this video
Punching trees for wood, when there's branches lying around everywhere. Yeah, protip.
I am in fact hyped
I think 20 min is the perfect length
I like your videos man but you make these tips and tricks videos over and over again and you still don't seem to do understand the game too much.
Actually, the raid is the reason, why I use only 2-3 cooking stations at the same time. Also, I take some time before I kill eikthyr to get that raid 2-3 times. In my hearth and home restart I actually killed eikthyr when I already was ready to kill the elder and did it actually only to have more stamina for the elder fight
For the beehives, you can get them to break without using any resources by using a workbench. Just take down the building pieces touching the beehive and it'll break dropping the honey and queen bee.
I love this series. I’m looking forward to the farming / gardening guide. Build guides for cool houses would be fun to do as well.
If you find a beehive, throw down a workbench and disassemble the building it's in and it will fall apart and you can pick up the honey and queen.
You can hold down the E key to pick up multiple items easily.
