  1. This is going back to "old" style loot and it was terrible. Being able to get useless items for your raid feels even worse, this was the whole reason they changed it to start with. In addition, having your BIS item drop from an early boss is more of a punishment now and again, is not fair to some classes.
Edit: This is going BACKWARDS from good design to change something simply to get rid of things "problematic" people innovated. Wanting a "diverse set of classes" goes against everything the game has been working towards of being able to play what you want, this just punishes you as a raid for NOT bringing every class even if your raiders don't want to play it.

  2. If these changes go through, I wont be playing this xpac. As someone who pugs, im not going back to need/greed. Ill just go play another game. Also, STOP ADDING MORE ILVLS!!!

  3. Also, the last thing I want in WoW raids is harder trash. I want less trash, not freaking mini bosses. This is why everyone is moving over to M+. Its quicker and respects your time way more.

  4. I like the change. Ramping gear for harder fights makes progressing better in a guild environment. Group loot makes sure that nobody has less chance at gear and guild methods for loot dispersion like dkp or council is a thing again. If your guild is bad about that find another one guilds should treat everyone well. No restrictions on trading is amazing. I often m+ and almost always trade my loot away. It hurts when I get something and even though I coulda upgraded my valor piece instead I have to keep something from my guildies who only raid. The averaged boes os good to make it a more linear gear progression or extra income.

  5. an easy 90% of these changes are good. forcing group loot for raids, is just as bad as forcing PL. now we are going back of the days of HuNtAr WeApOn!!11 and ninjalooting. yes the mythic raider in me is happy. the alts ill be doing normal and heroic on, not so much. this is great for mythic raiders, but the more casual guilds? this will just cause drama, i really hope they change this, why not just let guilds choose like they could in legion?

  6. I actually like this 'new' loot system. It encourages us to get into a 'healthy' group.

The current personal loot makes many players treat their raid team as a mere 'cashcow' to get themselves loot. But the 'new' system will foster more discussion and selflessness from players. It always feels good to hear "It's ok, player X can take it because he benefits more", rather than "Too bad bro, I can't trade, ilvl is too high". Sure, it might be abused by loot hoarder who 'need' on everything but you can just stop raiding with them and look for a healthy group.

9:15 I think it will be exactly like Cosmic Flux dropped from Lieutenant enemies in Shadowland raid. Once you killed Borr-Gahn in Sanctum of Domination, you will not be able to loot additional cosmic flux if you kill him again that week even if you are in different difficulty (heroic and then mythic for example). So I don't think you can just 'farm' these LT to get BoE. We might only have 1 chance per week for loot just like world boss.

  7. i am unsure about this loot change. i think they should leave the option in their. cause this going to support the WTS raid clear and then prices on gear. and since this does not sound like no master loot. so greed gonna have people who cant use the item. and just go YONK i want that its hunter weapon.i guess ill just do mythic + only.

  8. I am absolutely furious with the loot change. Personal loot was the only way for me to get off spec weapons for all of my characters as collecting transmog is the sole reason I do raids, now this will be impossible with a guild group, only with a pug and seeing that blizzard are working hard to make bosses as unpuggable as possible (even on normal!) this means that the only way to collect transmog will be running raids when they are no longer current from now on

  9. From what I understand personal loot will be there for group content but not in raids. group loot will only be in raids. There is no choose in this matter. Group content, maybe LFR will have personal loot- This is shocking and sad. The more I see the more I am thinking its time to retire from the game. 🙂 I have played this game for too long and I am struggling to get excited at all for dragonflight these days I have yet to see anything that will hook me.

  10. The way I read it your average item level from raiding will be higher than what your average item level would be in shadowlands. If you got a full set of gear from normal in shadowlands your average item level would be 389-392. With both the middle and end bosses dropping higher item level in Dragonflight your average item level is going be higher than it would be in shadowlands.

  11. I have this wild idea, that i got back when they disabled normal loot and made personal loot mandatory…
    what if…
they just support all the loot systems and let the players themselves pick which one to use like it used to be? (although locking it to the selected one after entering the instance to prevent people from swapping to master loot when it suits them, that doesn't need a comeback).

  12. It's strange how I used to get ninjas all the tike and haven't had to deal with it happily for year. But because a few greedy ass streamers want to get all the loot first we have to go back to this bullshit

  13. I like the idea of adding new special items that you’ll remember the name of. There doesn’t even need to be one for every class/spec. Having someone in your guild get that cool item will make the raid feel worth it

  14. 6:44 RE: the trinket that gets stronger with more copies — I think that they just mean something like Stone Legion Heraldry or Cabalist's Hymnal, where the effect is stronger if there are more people in the group with that trinket equipped. It would be super weird if they were incentivizing looting the same trinket multiple times on the same toon.

  15. this seems just worse. I think group loop with no item level trading restrictions is what we really want.

    OR

Master loot for guilds with no item-level restrictions for trading

  16. If this is the only loot system for raiding then RIP DF raids. I'm not going back to loot drama in guilds and constant ninjas in pug. This community has proven without a doubt it's way to toxic to handle loot like adults.

  17. So the occasional raider, like me, will get totally screwed on loot all over again? Because it’s so satisfying to run three fates raid rn and get nothing but 70g on each boss… now we’re going back to that throughly corrupted system?

I really hope we’ll have an opt out, keeping our personal loot option. I’ve left raiding for that very reason.

  18. After reading this news on wowhead I decided to do a cc chargeback on my DF pre-order. I lived thru this nightmare in Cata. I know my account will be permabanned and tbh I'm glad because now I can never be dragged back into Azeroth ever again.

  19. We didn't ask for this at all… All we wanted was the option for ML in guild groups, and the personal loot without item level restrictions. Like why does blizzard always seem to do this they look like they have a win and they muck it up with one blue post and a decision that was not fleshed out with the community in mind? But instead seems like they yet again just want to try to stop the WFR somehow…

  20. i will understand if this is going to be a normal, heroic and mythic raid… But if they use group loot for lfr.. Well that is going to suck. As that is going to be just people greeding on everything. That isnt good. As people will just end up greeding on everything. Even the things that are lower ilv than what they have. Because some people just dont are.

  21. Oh, so they wanted the raid leader's ninja abuses all over again. Gotcha. First, they nerfed dragon flight, and now this. Yeah, I think I will do what I should have done LONG time ago. I'm skipping this expansion completely until they actually deliver something that deserves to be payed.

  22. @7:00 trinket that gets stronger with more copies sounds more like it gets stronger the more people in raid that wear it, not that it gets stronger the more extra times you personally loot the same trinket. They've done this with several trinkets in the past.

  23. I could absolutely be missing something here, but how does removing personal loot benefit the player? What are the negatives to personal loot for players? At first blush, it feels like it's just designed to make Blizzard's life easier – not ours. Interested in hearing other people's thoughts.

  24. YAY FOR BOE WEAPONS FROM RAIDS! We're back to a time if ur having issues getting a weapon drop from doing ur own content, u can just go to the AH and grab a decent one on par with current content for a hefty lump of gold(which we all mostly have nowadays)

  25. If they killed personal loot then ninja looting as people like asmond that keep scalping all the best shit and living the crumbs to his guild will enjoy the game while everyone else will spend almost the entire expansion trying to get gear or quit due to getting fucked over by other people and RNG. This also means solo content is dead because you won’t have any gear worth while without doing group content where if they do have a lfg system won’t work if personal loot is gone.
