Gonna maybe gets some video on my bear hunt. Checked into coyote hunting laws just in case. Heard of hunters having coyotes tear apart their bear kill. Wanted to make sure I could legally shoot coyotes if needed. Getting my knives sharp, hunting, and camping gear ready. Hoping to get a deer to if still up there Oct 1st. Showing my 10 year old daughter other kids hunting made her realize she could too. I took her turkey hunting when she was younger. I might be more excited to take my daughter hunting than going bear hunting. I don't usually even go out hunting during shotgun season. I can go out to the orchard and shoot as many deer as I want to dress. I would rather hunt my moms 5 acres bow only where I see deer almost every day hunting. I walk out behind the barn and shoot a deer. Not much of a hunt usually. I bow hunt because more people likely to let you hunt their land. I shoot the doe that doesn't have twins. Maybe take a buck every 5 years. The one I missed last year maybe daughter will get this year. Should of yelled stop then shot. I think it stopped because of bow sound. I already spooked it but it followed the doe around the pond that wasn't spooked. Another time I shoot at deer laying down in the brush, hit a tree 15 feet in front of me. smh and walked away. Went and did target practice for an hour. Came back same deer same spot. Shoot again and shaved hair off its stomach. Lesson learned bought a chainsaw and put it to use. Got new bow sights for my old Oneida and a lot more pins. Still turned way up for deer. Got a new used bow for bow fishing. And have seen state records where I fish down state and up state. I run a seasonal business installing and removing docks and boat lifts. I get paid to go to lake. Fred Bear didn't get a deer with a bow till he was 42 in Blaney Park, Mi. I am gonna go down into that swamp and get me a bear or a deer.
I seen your favorite bear guide on the Wandering Yooper's youtube channel. Bear season in Michigan's UP (2022, part 1) Getting Ready.
