Today we are exploring Osaka for the very first time. Osaka is known as Japanβs kitchen, thereβs so many unique and interesting food weβve never had before, from Takoyaki β deep fried octopus balls to Okonomiyaki β savory pancakes to fluffy giggly Japanese cheesecake, famous Japanese Steam buns and loaded Gyoza thatβs to die for. We will explore Dotonbori Street which is like the Times Square of Osaka, and have some fun seeing Dontonbori from 250 feet above in one of the worlds only oval shaped ferris wheels. Weβll also check out the Nintendo Store and the beautiful Osaka castle which just so happened to be hosting a Sweet potato festival while we were visiting. Come with us on this adventure!

Love the misplaced punctuation in "No, Straw Berry No, Life".
This video is perfect and I gotta watch it more than once! Gives me some lost translation vibes with Bill Murry
Did you change your captioning? It is way better than the normal auto YouTube captions. My boyfriend is Deaf and we watch all your videos, he was really impressed by these captions. I know itβs extra time in editing-but we rely on captioning and appreciate creators who do it well! Thanks yβall!! β€
If i was Peter on the ferris wheel i woulda said "i wonder if these rock back and forth like the wheel of death" while doing the motion πpoor Kitra
the don quixote ferris wheel is soooo cool!!!
Michelin is a western scam: the people who review for the outlet are westerners who have NO knowledge of Japanese culture and don't even bother to understand it. Use Tabelog and Gurunavi instead of Michelin, Yelp, and Google when you are in my county, π―π΅
Will be possibly going here for my honeymoon in two years after my wedding! Thanks for this great content!
I highly recommend visiting Hokkaido on a future Japan trip! The ice cream and milk is the best Iβve ever had! The cows must be extra happy since the dairy is so rich and flavorful. Thanks for another great video!
All of the paper Mario collectibles were great! It was my sonβs favorite Mario game.
Personally I donβt care for that type of gameβ¦still I can never find anything for paper Mario in the US. Guess Iβll have to head to Japan so I can get my son a couple of original paper Mario gifts. Iβll have to look for Mario sunshine collectibles as wellβ¦ that was his second favorite Mario game. As always, thanks for sharing your adventures with us. βπ»π₯°π
I'm so glad you found a place to try both kinds of okonomiyaki and loved it!! OA Galaxy and well deserved. Hiroshima-style okonomiyake was possibly the greatest thing I've ever eaten in my life and I still dream about it. And honestly I feel the same about the texture of the octopus balls. You guys thrive in Japan, love these videos!
Wow, that Ferris Wheel looked Super Janky and unpleasantβ¦it made me sad to see poor Kitra look so visibly uncomfortable!
43:54β¦Yeah, Peterβ¦There still WOULD be life w/o Strawberry, butβ¦WHAT KIND of life? Definitely NOT the βSweet Lifeβ!
You guys seemed real nervous on the ferris wheel

The Michelin star ranking system goes like this:
1 star: stop by if you pass by it on your way.
2 star: If youβre in the area and itβs a little out of the way itβs worth going to anyway.
3 stars: the restaurant is the destination.
Made my palms sweaty just watching you guys on that Ferris wheel π
When will a toilet get the ordinary adventure star of flushes lol.
strawberry is life π I <3 u guys
You are so so so brave going on that Ferris wheels!!!!! I donβt know that I could have done that. First class on the train definitely looked really neat!! Great video β€β€β€ππ‘πππwhat an adventure!!
Absolutely beautiful as always! I had to look away at the octopus eating though π
I love how Peter's new catchphrase is "What is that??" π
I'd spend so much money in that Nintendo store!!!!
The raisins are a choice π
Thank you for coming to Osaka! γγγγ¨γπ«Ά
Oh Kitraβ¦.poor thing (hugs). I would have been afraid too.
Iβm so excited for April 2025! Will we get to see you guys at Star Wars celebration? If so Iβll see you there!
Thank you for such a great video of an American trying out Osaka street food for the first time π
I do anything but I will never do Ferris wheel Iβm afraid of Ferris wheels
Actually you can reserve seats in the ordinary cars on the shinkansen. Its best to reserve during a busy Japan holiday such as New Years or Golden Week when Japan does a lot of domestic travel to visit family. But during the slow seasons, its not necessary. Also it depends where your trip is starting from. If you line up early enough at Tokyo or Shinagawa station and heading towards Shin Osaka station, you'll get a seat. But if you are boarding somewhere in between, you might not as more people board along the way. I love seeing you guys travel abroad!!! π
I too ended up getting a little motion sickness on the bullet train. Especially when we were in the city. It was less disorienting to look out the window once we were in the countryside. ( I think the buildings made the speed more noticeable). I love Osaka, if I was going to live in Japan I would want to live closer to Osaka than to Tokyo I think.
At our Mall we have a βJapanese Styleβ cheese cake place and they have different flavors and smaller portions.
I feel like I saw a reel at some point saying that Cheese Cake Company came to Massachusetts?
Tokyo : NYC :: Osaka :: ATL === according to some of my friends.
Loving your Japan adventures ππΌ
You guys seem like Japan pros now that it is your second time. You know all the tricks and great places to eat.
we tried all the different flavored kit kats, my favorite was the white wine that has alcohol in it, and it is wild.
Itβs been almost 10 years since I went to Japan, your videos make me miss it so much!!
Also, I noticed Peter says museum the same way I do and my husband always makes fun of me π so thanks for making me feel less alone π
That Ferris wheel kind reminds me of the people mover in Disney. A slow ride where you can rest your poor feet.
Already tearing up just watching this ππ So wonderful you guys!!
This was So fun!!! You all make the best content! β€ thanks for sharing!!
We have one cheese cake place in china town Boston
Living vicariously through you guys! I hope someday I can make traveling a part of my life but for now Iβm a sahm π
There's actually a spot higher off the street that allows you look like you're running with the Glica man its like one level up
Japan is so beautiful canβt wait to go one day even tho Iβm not a city guy but those Nintendo stores will bring me in to spend an insane amount of money! Mostly on yoshi merch!
24:57 only in Japan is where you will see Spider-Man with a rubber chicken π
Man you two are so brave with all the food you try.
