The Situation with Drones | With Dan Magy CEO of Firestorm

Exploring the current drone problem happening around the world and in the united states over New Jersey and military bases. What are the source of the drones? Misidentifications? Or something else?

Dan Magy is the Co-Founder and CEO of Firestorm, a San Diego-based startup focused on developing autonomous, low-cost drones for combat and ISR applications.

  1. Heh, a drone manufacturer spends 30 mins telling us how absolutely vital drones are for the future without any pushback from Event Horizon. The next week you could interview a cheese producer, I bet he'd tell us how cheese is vital for our survival…

  2. Exactly, why would aliens, or anyone be flying drones with lights on, especially often with FAA compliant lights on, over multiple countries. Iranians or Russians or Chinese or anyone, even the many shady elements of the US government itself, wouldn't turn their lights on… obviously.

And that congressman who said about an Iranian mothership, we know where they are, there are indeed two of them but they're both in the Persian gulf – it's not exactly easy to hide a bloody ship.

  3. The new age of drone warfare is one step before Terminator level war…very nasty and scary…i cant imagine the psycological damage being done to the humans that live through this nasty war…the "vehicle" sized drones are just that "flying cars" that have been common in places like Dubai and Quatar and the UAE for 15 years…safety testing with high speed crashes including crashtest dummies would be necessary for regulation…its illegal for the government to come on tv and say Chevy is testing their flying taxis that they are preparing to bring to the market…revealing trade secrets is a no no

  4. The government testing large, SUV-sized aircraft over densely populated areas like New Jersey at night? That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard yet. I usually enjoy EH for its high-quality guests and fact-based approach to topics, but this episode was pure torture to listen to. Mr. Magy either has no clue about what people are actually seeing (and filming) or he’s deliberately cherry-picking cases to dismiss these sightings outright.

  5. I don’t put much stock in someone who says the U.S. is behind when it comes to drone technology.

How would you even know until war actually breaks out? We’ve had these teeny dragonfly drones for what, five years now?

Let’s not repeat the “bomber gap” nonsense.

  6. This channel is really far behind when it comes to actual disclosure, interviewing all these pr clowns and presenting their disinformation and limited hangouts. Time to get the actual experts on the channel. It should be no news that scientists for example can be bought just like politicians. So many of them are as trustworthy as politicians. Not at all. Of course there's a whole lot of bullshitters within alternative media as well so one has to do some actual research. That's what you do isn't it?

  7. Classic, yeah the problem with drone delivery was surely just a legal one and not a practical one. It was never an efficient or intelligent idea and it will never catch on. The fact that he thinks it will tells me hes been blinded by drone hype and is very biased.

  8. Maybe go watch some real genuine YouTubers that are going for a drive to New Jersey and having a look and gathering real footage using Flight trackers to verify what they are seeing… This isnt just planes and kids with hobby drones.. Very disappointing video

  9. Soviet briefcase nukes are BS, there was no such thing. They were too backwards to Miniaturise to that level. At best you might get a larger "backpack nuke", but there never were any. I can't paste the link, my comment get's zapped, but search for this video on here – The Myth of Lost Soviet Backpack Nuclear Weapons

  10. I don’t think drones are going to take over the skies for the simple fact that pretty much anything falling out of the sky is extremely deadly. The cost of oversight and regulation that would allow for drone delivery to be done safely will kill the economic viability of it.

  11. President elect says he will avoid Besminster this weekend!

    The guy was obviously briefed.

You have a US entity / agency doing whatever they want in the US sky!

Executive branch can do nothing about it!

    That’s scary on its own…

It still does not explain the orbs!

We have no tech that good at the moment…

I am going for the out of this world theory…

  13. In this current economy, how are regular hobbyists affording these 6ft drones. This is so dismissive of the issue. I have a DJI drone and it cost me $1200 when I bought it. Regular people in this economy can't waste money on a 6ft drone that costs nearly 10k. With the chances to lose or damage a 6ft $10k drone is not a regular persons idea of a hobby. My drone weighs less than 250kg and it can't get off the ground without it alerting the FAA and warning me that it's close to an airport. There is no way these drones aren't being spotted by the FAA if they are bought from a retail business. Something more is going on and as always the experts are being dismissive. Most of these so called experts don't understand how drones are already regulated and you can't compare them to the war in Ukraine. This is in the sky of America, over populated areas, near airports. They are big enough to cause major damage, to cause an airplane to be damaged in flight, they are over our military bases. WTF is wrong with our government right now. This doesn't make sense, this is not a sudden uptick in drones overnight that are not respecting the basic laws already existing for hobbyists.
