Ukraine’s Hidden Weapons Striking Russia Where It Hurts Most

In Ukraine’s fight against Russia, unconventional weapons are rewriting the rules of war. The Corvo Precision Payload Delivery System, a flat-packed cardboard drone, has proven surprisingly deadly, capable of reconnaissance, supply delivery, and precision strikes.

Another key player is the Storm Shadow missile, first deployed during the 2003 Iraq War. With a range of over 340 miles and unmatched stealth, this advanced system now bolsters Ukraine’s efforts against Russian aggression, decades after its debut.

On February 23, 2024, Ukraine stunned the world by downing a $330 million Russian A-50 AWACS aircraft deep in enemy territory. While officially credited to an old S-200 missile, many believe a top-secret American weapon made the strike possible, exposing vulnerabilities in Russian defenses.

As artillery stockpiles dwindle, Ukraine has turned to a globally banned weapon to maintain its edge. This controversial decision reflects the high stakes of a conflict shaped by secrecy, innovation, and desperate measures.

  1. Most likely we sent Ukraine the M483A1 155MM shells loaded with 88 dual-purpose grenades (64 M42 and 24 M46). The M42 and M46 produce a shaped-charge jet is expelled downward while the body bursts into a large number of small fragments. The jet is capable of penetrating approximately 2.75 inches of homogeneous armor plate. Antipersonnel effects are obtained by fragmentation of the grenade body. These were designed to stop Soviet armor during an invasion into Germany. Production was stopped in 1990, so all shells are 34+ years old and at the end of their shelf life. What better way to get rid of them than letting Ukraine use them. (I.E. cluster munitions)

  4. This is guerilla warfare only advanced. It does not take much to bring consumer tech called call phones to enable this kind of warfare. As it advanced, you can start to imagine the "APPS" that really kill people. This is a spiritual moment, for sure…
