The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom offers a link between the two worlds of Nintendo’s iconic action-adventure franchise. It has the playfulness and freeform puzzles of Tears of the Kingdom and the traditional dungeon design the franchise was known for prior to Breath of the Wild’s seismic shake-up. Echoes of Wisdom deftly bounces from past to present and establishes its own identity, turning the page to start a new legend for Princess Zelda.

Can they please port wind waker and twilight princess to switch yet or make a new traditional 3d zelda game
between the weird gameplay and reused link's awakening engine- im just not feeling this at all
Did this man say link between worlds? Wrong game!
They gave it a 9
Would be cool in the future to see another 2d zelda, and when you beat the game as link a second playthrough as zelda would be awesome
So they first made 2D Zelda, then they made 3D Zelda. And then they made 3D Zelda inspired by 2D Zelda, and now they made 2D Zelda inspired by 3D Zelda. It's like they're caught in a loop of success.
Opening with drowning a wolf is crazy
This type of game isn’t for me but I’m happy for all the Zelda fans getting this
Now all we need is a Ganondorf spinoff with a twist on how he infiltrates all dungeons, imprisons/kills the sages, corrupts the spirits/summons the dungeon boss, and prepares the invasion of Hyrule.
He doesn’t summon anything, he doesn’t get items or powers up his weapon. He just warlock punches and suave dances his way through.
good, but now do a review of Sins of a Solar Empire!
If I had a nickel for every time Gorons caused a bug that broke save files in a Zelda game, I would have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it happened twice.
Game made by a women? Not buying
I just can't get behind the art style. It looks horrible to me.
Great review. Probably the best one in terms of showing off what you can actually do with combat and how big the world is.
Reminds of A Link Between Worlds. Any game that reminds of that one gets my thumbs up.
Nintendo seems incapable of making a bad Legend of Zelda game. They always strike gold.
Thanks for the bug heads up. Gonna wait before downloading for emulating when they got it fixed and the update is online in the wild
Not buying this game until Nintendo drops the lawsuit on pal world. Who else is with me?
I wonder if this will run better on switch 2 hardware, once it announced. Also hope runs at 60 fps.
Nintendo is the master of selling indie games as AAA.
The game is really fun i'll admit I got "early access" but Im actually going to buy this one because its honestly gives me that childhood nostalgia 2d zelda vibe. If you like your Minish Caps, Link Between Worlds, And even as recent as BOTW and TOTK you'll love how this game tests your brain power for solving puzzles (nothing is really hard, but enough to make you feel smart for figuring it out 1 of many ways). There are also many surprises that build on the perspective of not being link I won't spoil what but the world reacts to you not being link.
3:16 was insane I've never even thought about doing that.
i never cared for the breath of the wild and missed what I loved from the DS and others systems. I will give this a try.
That combat system would probably work really well for a Pokemon game 🤔
Nintendo has that Animation Down! Not my type of game, looks good though!
Too many spoilers.
Nintendo to the rescue – again – to deliver an outstanding game.
Those 60 fps to 30 fps drops are so distracting though…
Wish Nintendo would've just capped it at 30. If it was targeting 60 but dropped down between 50 & 60, I'd be fine. But the double buffer v-sync has it go straight from 60 to 30 then back to 60 constantly. The dips are so large that it doesn't make since to not cap it at the most stable frame rate.
tl;dw: 9/10
I'm being honest, I'm almost finished with the game. It's nice, but not stunning, and the dungeons are very cheap, probably the weakest in the series.
So, Nintendo had a bug that made pirates start over, lol.
No Link. No Thank you.
Hopefully they can tone down the sandbox puzzles after this game
somehow with the rumors of a new nintendo console being announced soon nintendo is still capable of delivering masterpieces.
65 hours?! Yeah this is going to be another masterpiece
Maybe this will be the first good water dungeon?…Ahhhh who am I kidding we know the answer to that.
Newstalgia!!! I'm getting this.
Its still baffling how easy it would be to implement a better inventory system but Nintendo refuses to do so. A simple one would be pressing once on the right d pad opens the menu, then just split the items into categories instead of all of them being a single row. One example would be one row for monsters, one of items/furniture, and one for flying/insects/miscellaneous. You can even add a favorites row that you pick yourself. But no, all 150+ items, single file please 🤦
Pre-Ordered it and currently playing. It is does give a fell for a "create a your own platform world" but only if you find the necessary items
0:27 i laugh way too hard from zelda on bed while being drived everywhere 😂😂
This is a really really good game so far
I think it's crazy how you had to restart the game because of a bug and still gave it a 9 tbh. I don't know how widespread that is, but I would've been pretty mad about that.
Less of a review and more of a paid advertisement here.
Ten seconds in and the overused word “iconic” has been used. FFS, have some originality.
A 9 is crazy, what a joke!
Nintendo always gets special treatment.
You are putting this game up there with others such as The Last of Us, God of War or Eleden Ring and its nowhere near them.
Missed opportunity to call this game "The legend of Zelda : A missing link
I know an 11 year old boy who refuses to play anything that most would consider cutesy. He only wants to play what for his age is definitely not age appropriate. Stuff like Gta, call of duty, mortal Kombat etc.
I keep trying to open his mind to the fun colorful world of Nintendo and some fool Teenager or young adult has warped his mind to think that the only good games are the gratuitously violent ones. It's sad really. Hopefully someday he'll grow out of that thought process.
8:19 – There's a game-ending fatal bug when trying to enter Goron City? That makes the game unacceptable in its current form. Disappointing.
"i had to restart the whole game because of shoddy tech. 9/10" 😂🤡🤡
