  1. This is a cover up and Bert Krishna needs to be held responsible. He exceeded the weight limit, but the park was being pushed to overlook it and so they did. His weight in combination with the waste that was expelled from his body, damaged the integrity of the net overtime and was the real reason the net wasn't present in July 2010.

In all seriousness….he should have at least made a statement

  2. I always look forward to your videos every week. So well researched, professionally and compassionately presented and without the hyped up sensationalism, just in it for the money exploitation so many YouTubers are these days.

  3. Autopilot mode strikes again. These rides should always have a mechanical fail safe. Every single brain will have a moment where it decides to not pay attention once something becomes routine. It’s just most of the time we get lucky and whatever it was that became a habit just goes as it always does. Like driving home and realizing you don’t remember the drive. In that moment you’re lucky no kids ran in front of the vehicle.

  4. This was in 2010?? I read the headline and 100% thought it was in 1970 something. How did a lapse in safety measures of this level happen?? The operator was absolutely responsible. Criminal charges were absolutely appropriate. Buuuuut he was only forced to pay a $268 fine and give a DNA sample. He was back on the job risking lives almost immediately. Seriously who would want to go on that ride operated by that guy after hearing this story?? People are dumb.

  5. I cannot BELIEVE she survived that! When you described the fall, I just immediately accepted she had died on the spot. Oh my god I’m so happy to hear she survived! What a fighter… I can only imagine how difficult the recovery was. Hope she and her family are doing incredibly well ❤

  6. really should have had a lock out that prevented the drop cage from the opining. That the ground operator needed to engage once the net was ready. Humans make mistakes. I feel for both the operator and the family. If I was that guy I would be devastated.

  7. It would be so cheap and simple to design a mechanical failsafe for something like that.
But no, tell the operators to use hand signals instead. Because humans can't fuck that up, can they?
