β€β€ My prayers go out to Sam's family and the Ktla family β€β€
I am very sad. I see the news and felling very very sad.πππ
Sad to hear, sad losing wonderful people.
This is heartbreaking. I grew up watching the original group. Through all the changes Sam remained constant. With all the love shared the past few days shows how beloved he was.
He seemed nice enough, but was not very well spoken. Instead of trying to improve himself and set a better example for the young people of the Southern California community, he just kept on with his horrible grammar. Such a shame. But he will still be missed.
Did Barbara Beck reach out?
I was in California up to 2007 and he was ago to watch always, and very emotional
all those clips βive seen it first hand didnβt realize βwere truly avid followers of KTLA news 5β€
KTLA 5 and Sam got me through college in the early 90s RIP Sam
Barbara Beck….yes…I remember her too.Hope all is well with you & HAPPY π MOTHERS DAY
Didn't know Sam personally, but it sure felt like I did. The great Sam I am! He will be truly missed!
Sam, thank you for always bringing a HUGE smile to the Ktla familyβ€
Sam will definitely be missed. I enjoyed watching him every morning. The exchange he had with the other colleagues, was so much fun to watch. You could feel he was truly a good person. He was genuine and was loved by those who watched KTLA. He was the best in his field. RIP Sam.
I am so sorry for you all! I only heard last night on a live stream channel (not the news). Hugs to you all! Rest in peace, Sam!
these people were part of my day everyday during my teenage years. I couldn't wait to watch KTLA morning news and I didn't even live in LA
π’
I think it would be a great idea to start honoring people like Sam while they are alive…do it on birthdays, during staff appreciation week, or just improvised, whenever!! Life is too short, and now he doesn't get to hear all these beautiful stories and anecdotes…so sadπ’ Thinking of his wife and kids, and all who knew and loved him β€
My condolences to his family and friends R.I.P Sam ππππ
I spent many years wathing Sam! So sorry he's passed!
Sam Wasn't just a reporter on entertainment. He was a man of the people!! It's a sad day
It's hard to watchπ’
I love sam I grow up watching him school times.
Are there any black people or brown people in L.A. that can wake up early in the morning?
Sam will be greatly missed!! β€
Sam was humankindness at it's best. π
Sam's reports were always such a fun safe place. Just the ultimate people person. I think he understood what the entertainment industry was supposed to be about: fun, spectacle, empathy, belonging, education…just a good time for everyone.
My mother passed away a few years back, but I always remember how I woke up every morning for school and my mother would have the ktla morning news on while preparing our breakfast and lunch. I would sit there, eat my breakfast while watching Sam Rubin and Mark Kriski bicker with each other, and would think, "What kind of news is this?!?!".
I'm 34. I grew up watching this OG crew. Having them on my tv in the morning EVERY DAY. Sam was one of the reasons that I am so excited and knowledgeable about entertainment and movies. This was a shock and all I can say is that he is a legend and will be remembered as such. R.I.P. Sam
I first watched him in 1993 after moving to Venice Beach (&when LA was ok)
Wonderful tribute.
L A morning news is never the same without the original gang.
I miss Sam Rip
So nice to see the old KTLA team back together again. What a touching tribute to the great Sam Rubin. There will never be another Sam, he was larger than live! He loved his job so much, and he loved his KTLA family. RIP sweet Sam, rest easy β€
here to stir the pot…I'm sure he was a great guy but his position as entertainment guy should've ended decades ago. He was so out of touch and is the exact reason there should be term limits for a job like that. Some of his latest entertainment interviews were painful to watch.
Sorry he died but they should've replaced him in that entertainment position years ago. People got complacent. Maybe he was good for that job in the 90s..
RIPβ¦ Youβre remembered well, Sam! β€οΈπ
Why was Sam suspended multiple times?
Sam, I began watching KTLA Morning News in 1998…I was living in Moreno Valley…it's going to be awkward not seeing you! π It's great to see you again Carlos…WELCOME BACK!ππ
I am sorry for your loss. Sam will always be remembered. RIP Sam.
