Doombringers – Episode 69 – Dreadnought Improvement Project Japanese Campaign

The Spanish prove me wrong and sail out to meet the Akuma’s and Yamato’s off their coast. Gotta love battles with 100 ships in them!

  1. 18:32: Thank you for not trying to form one battle line with this battle. The Grand Fleet looks like they are going to have a grand time. Though it slows the game I think your mod of the Naval communication techs is a great improvement. Of couse in a week when I'm trying to document this battle I'll be cursing it.

  2. "Tend to find that torpedo targeting does that, leads the target too much."

Torp targeting is based on target vector at the moment of launch. Besides deliberate maneuvers and dodging, there are a couple other factors contributing to your issue – flooding hits due to gun damage and lead ship switching, also due to gun damage. If you fire guns and torpedoes at two different targets, you'll have more success with the torps. My preferred torp target is the second ship in a division. That wasn't applicable in this particular case, as the target was its own div, but it improves torp effectiveness in general.

    Next battle
Spanish Admiral: "They can't kill us all."
Japanese Admiral: "Debatable, but we'll definitely kill YOU first, loudmouth."

  3. @13:55 I understand you're skimming what you're facing, but pausing longer on each one so the audience can read them too > bouncing between three ships every fraction of a second. Love the content otherwise, thanks for keeping me entertained at the office 🙂
