So glad you mentioned Burnt Offerings because that movie traumatized me as a child and yet, very few people seem to have heard of it. Another 70s horror movie that scarred me, with a chilling swimming pool scene, is The Legacy
The best horror scene in a pool ever is in Are You Afraid of the Dark? S5E1 The Tale of the Dead Man's Float. Watch it. It's awesome
As a kid that saw Jaws when it came out, I was terrified of sharks everywhere there was water
Good job 👏 happy Halloween 🎃
The pool scene from It Follows should have a mention. Jay is in the middle of a high school pool. The entity, who took her father's rorm, starts throwing everything at her. It falls into the pool and grabs her ankle. When Paul shoots it,it disappears in a thick cloud of blood.
I got spoiled who the villain of The Faculty was, unfortunately.
More TILLY
It follows also has a very scary pool scene!
Thank god they didn't mention Night Swim. That movie was awful!
What about It Follows pool scene? And Final Destination 4 was terrible but what about the pool death scene?
How about The Prowler (1981)? Lisa's (Cindy Weintraub) pool death by the killer was pretty terrifying and bloody.
The original Halloween 2. There was a “pool” scene that was stomach churning.
I was terrified as a kid by the swimming pool scene in The Legacy. Serious omission here.
Thanks for not saying the bedshitter's name.🙂👍
What you forgot the pool scene from Poltergeist? They used real skeletons in that sequence!
I don't know why it is questioned here, a woman can swim topless if she wants.
My pool scene was when the kids broke into a pool to go swimming at night – no knowing it was full of piranhas. Pirahna – 1978.
heckin love the faculty
Can’t remember the movie, but a scene really bothered me. A man is exiting an indoor pool (think YMCA) climbing a ladder. Someone grabs his ankle, pulls him under and handcuffs him underwater to die. Anyone remember the movie?
