One of only 2 movies that I have stood in line to see…This one was opening weekend when I lived in Austin TX. The other was when they re released The Exercist into the theaters , both times totally worth it

Eminem didnt hear the rap battles at all until they shot it , so his raps were all on the spot improv to what they said .

Asia said it – it's actually a really good movie. When I watched it my first time, I didn't expect much because "musician who acts now … yeah, right" but I was positively surprised that Eminem was actually a pretty believable actor.
Do Hustle and Flow next if you guys havent seen it! Another good rap type movie

I'll never forget when they said Eminem was making a movie about his life even though I kinda listened to his music I was like "Really….?" and then I found out the director of L.A. Confidential (HUGE RECOMMEND BTW) directed this and I went to see it and just love how hard this movie goes. Anthony Mackie's first movie role, too!

I love this movie. My only gripe is Kim Basinger's accent! The film is based in Detroit, but she puts on this goofy, southern-type accent that's really out of place.
Great reaction! I grew up close to where they filmed much of the movie and they really captured the vibe of the area. Love that BJ is rocking the St. Brown jersey!

Grand finish, this movie didn't need the subplots, Eminem's rap battle triumph is what we watched it for, but respect for attempt to script the human condition and respect for beastie boys and Eminem making rap colour blind. (Color for Americans) 😊

Every big city has a rundown area. Detroit has a lot of nice places to go to. Several areas have been renovated. Still some mansions. Not sure if still, but the mayor lives in Detroit. Lot of fun places to visit like Greek Town, MGM Grand, Ford Field where the Lions play. Joe Louis arena for concerts, more. I used to work at the world headquarters of a Fortune 500 corporation. Very nice area across river from Canada. Enjoyed your reaction.
