Isnt rank ladder a joke if multiple people can have the same rank? 😅
My understanding is that your rank is based off of a hidden elo score. The elo score goes up or down when you win or lose, and how much is earned or lost is based of lots of factors: your opponent's rank compared to yours, whether it went to three games, etc. And the numerical rank that you see is just what your position is relative to others. While unlikely, I guess it's possible that your hidden elo is the same as your opponent's, essentially meaning you're tied for seventh place.

I think you knew later that you should have attacked. You didn’t need 3 blockers and you could have easily swung for 5. Worst case scenario your op spends mana and turn activating and attacking with den for 3 damage. At that point you won the race.
