  2. To address the alternate reality where Stratham retires- I 100% believe we do not win the Super Bowl in 07 without him. He was 3rd on the team in sacks and was the heart and soul of the locker room.

  3. I had mixed feelings on Waller coming back or leaving. If his heart wasn’t in it I wanted him to go so that we could save the money and see what Theo Johnson can do. But if he wanted to be here, I wanted him cuz he’s a damn good player and will take anything we can get right now as far as good players.

  4. After taxes, he has 5m. Half of that goes to ex wife. I'd say F it too for only 2.5m and having to hand it over to the girl. Although, maybe they are still cool…who know.

  5. I'm very happy Waller is retiring. I never wanted to trade out 3rd round draft pick for an injury riddled player. He missed at least 7 games per season the two years before we got him. What did you think you were getting? The pre Covid Waller?? He was never going to be part of our future. Draft a TE with the 3 Rd round pick and develop that player. Not to mention that Bellinger rotted on the sideline because Waller got all the snaps. We lose because Bellinger is no better, Waller is gone, and we don't have a 3rd round TE with one year of development under his belt. All that equals lost time, lost time. That's what bad teams do. They waste time and make bad decisions. That's how I see the wallet diversion. Thank God Schoen made some good decisions last year to offset this. And I'm happy for the cap relief now. Let's use it wisely.
