Don't know if untranslated games count in but… FE Genealogy of the Holy War. MC Sigurd so naïve, rushing and trusting warrior, that he get easily manipulated into making "good things" that ended up beginning a war, causing ton of casualties and his own death from Arvis schemes.

I guess you could say that the reveal in Persona 3 "overshadowed" the other twists in the plot? It really eclipsed the previous events, that's for sure. Shame you spent the game moonlighting as a hero, when things went wrong.

I don’t have 7 ideas but some of them would be, adachi from persona 4 because of the letter he sends to ur house to get u to give up, and akechi from persona 5 where he sends u into a palace and when u finish the palace he hands u off to the police to cover for the murders he committed

In Japanese culture I beleive beards, especially gotees, are seen as a mark of someone who intends nefarious deeds. That's why in anime & JRPGs I dont trust those characters… I'm usually proven right lol
Add to this list: Mobius the Time Streamer from the Legacy of Kain series. In the first game he leads Kain into traveling back in time and killing the evil dictator who is about to take over the entire continent in a bloody or reign of terror, to save the world. In reality Mobius used Kain's killing of the Boy King William before he was evil, as an excuse to whip up a fervor and completely wipe out the entire race of vampires. He later tricks Raziel into doing things several times.

I feel the Pokemon Professors all cruelly tricked me by sending me out to catch every Pokemon, knowing that I will need friends to trade and somehow reach events to get mythical Pokemon when no explanation!

Assasins creed Rouge should not be on this list, the protagonist is a straight up traitor not someone who is misguided. That's like saying the whole templar order is "misguided" by Juno.
So, I've never played Persona 3 in any version other than "Persona 3 Portable." So I was kinda like "oh well" when P3P was recently re-released on consoles. I mean, I could always tell some things are missing and my view is "it's better than nothing at all"…with a few exceptions (like making movies based on books/video games. Nowadays I'm all for never making a movie based on books and games because they always do a bad job. Usually intentionally).
Anyways back on topic. After viewing the footage of Persona 3 before P3P, in this video….I kinda want to go find a version that has those scenes.
