I'm going with 'Fit Properly'…
The best clothing item in Dragon's Dogma 1's expansion, Dark Arisen, was a formerly cursed female exclusive pair of of panties. No, i'm not joking. Seneschal knows what the DD2 expansion will have us wearing. The Director did say his goal was to prevent meta sets from existing this time but we'll just have to see how that works out in the end.
MMORPG The Realm has starting gear for noewbies a grey tunic and matching greaves. its very bland and plain but has very high stats, so high in fact may high level players will try to save it, you see it has a catch, it can not be repaired so every point of damange it take is one point more toward it just falling apart and leaving you naked
oh and did i mention the Real has a spell called Rust that erode item condition?
14:00 i recognize a jojo reference when i see one. that's the stone mask from part 1 and 2 of jojo's bizarre adventure. it turns people into vampires, a fitting reference for a game like that.
I can't believe none of Harry Dubois' insane outfits from Disco Elysium made the list, as though everyone who played the game did not strategically dress their podgy middle-aged detective in a silk dragon robe over top a black mesh tank top and a large purple bow tie for maximum drama before singing sad, weird karaoke to our partner in a cafeteria full of potential murder witnesses and suspects.
Akiba's Trip highest stat outfit is the King's Shirt and the King's pants. Both are invisible so your stuck walking around in your briefs
Should have just called this one "7 pieces of gear that hurt Fragile Masculinity"
" So Mick you modeled the male version of Ranger's Tights right?" " …… Oh nooo"
Gotta love the Dragon Age Origins cloth head armor. Specifically, the Libertarian's Cowl, which gave +12 defense, and +0 chance any companion would want to sleep with you.
This to basically any ensemble you can assemble in Cyberpunk 2077. Every clothing item has its own stats and perks, and you had to stay on top of having better defensive stats throughout the game, and so you would need to throw on anything that made you stronger. I found it impossible to ever put together an outfit that seemed fashionable in any way, which felt bad in a setting that feels like your style should matter.
With the ranger’s tights, the victory slaps won’t be on the hand anymore 🤭🤭
I have always really liked this channel, and all it's presenters but dang, so many lists.. It's always been way more exciting to get get re let's plays or mario party/golf gameplay. The hit man stuff was always great.. Jackson too.. Basically miss videos that actually let us enjoy the presenters personalities rather than lists of a bunch of meh info..
Bloodstained stone mask is a Jojo reference xD Dio before he becomes a vampire
Mike's charisma-boosting shirt, though 😂
Can't believe you didn't mention Luasl's Glintstone Crown from Elden Ring. 15% increase to all sorcery, looks stupid af
In Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed, there's a set of clothes you can buy called the Emperor's clothes. Among purchasable clothing, they have the highest base HP. The embarrassing part? They're invisible. They're a reference to the fable The Emperor's New Clothes, after all.
Not a single Fromsoft game on here?
Not a significant stat boost but one that always bugged me was the bronze subligar in Final Fantasy XI. It's only a 1 point difference in defense from your starting gear but in a game as harsh and unforgiving as vanilla FFXI those metal undies could mean the difference between success or a death that also cost you 10% of the xp needed to level up and that's just in the starting area. Not so bad if you're playing a female character but for males… not a pleasant look if you want to min/max early.
"For the stats." Sure, let's go with that.
One word: plaidweave
I've always found the Turnip/Pumpkin headgear to be fun yet silly to wear. It also has some good defense.
7 most taunting treasures
You know how when you’re going through a dungeon or castle and see a treasure chest through a convenient window or on the other side of a wall because it’s a top down and think to yourself “oh I want to get that” only to realize that you can’t get it now?
These would be the treasures that either have really hard methods of reaching or a very long time before you get the means to get it
14:00 kono dio da
I'm just gonna say Wavemother's Robe from Baldur's Gate 3 and leave it at that 🙂 (i like it though)
why would anyone use the bunny mask when the Goron mask exists? I honestly think I got it much later then the Goron mask first time through and the game isn't that punishing with its time mechanic considering you keep opening up warp statues. Even in the areas where you can't spin through them as Goron Link, there are better masks you can use to evade enemies or take shortcuts.
Wow you clearly haven't seen Asylum classic Transmorphers, which is in reality much more "inspired by" Terminator than Transformers. Except for the title.
I’m going to say this, but the Tingle Armor set from BOTW and TOTK is not a good Armor set in the stats department. Each piece of the Armor set gives 2 Defense, and if the full set is worn, that is a combined 6 Defense. Plus, the Tingle’s Armor set can’t be enhanced and doesn’t give any special buffs, and in the game, EVERY NPC in all of Hyrule is frightened by Link when he WEARS the full set! I guess everyone in Hyrule thinks that Tingle is a creep.
Wait but the biddibuggi is my favorite😢
Don't forget Leon's Chicken Hat and Cat ears from Resident Evil 4 Remake. Hard to get, embarrassing to wear… Game-changing benefits. Although, in the DLC, while the cat set looks good on Ada, the chicken hat looks even worse on her.
Kudos to Igarashi for knowing the true power of a Jojo reference.
No charming corset in dragons dogma 2?
No Disco Elysium mention? Not even one?
13:00 Is… is that Tim Curry in the background painting?
Dark souls: symbol of avarice. A big ol chest with teeth that constantly drains your hp. Oh don’t like that? DS2 offers the alternative of a jester cap with a smiling mask!
games need to start integrating a "fashion" stat. It does absolutely nothing in combat, but low or negative scores get weird looks and snarky comments from npcs while high values get praise and attention. If there is a mechanical effect, it would be shop discounts or persuasion alteration. XD
