Humour me as I read the books, weapons, and artifacts of Teyvat, to better understand the lore of Genshin Impact~

  1. i would assume deicide -> murder of a deity, as how regicide -> murder of a regent . I dunno if deicide is a real word or not, but if it is, then its cool that i learnt something new and if it isnt, then i like how Roald came up with the term lmao

  2. The labyrinth in jueyun karst would be the domain of adepti, when we enter Cloud Retainers abode, there are a lot of rotating platform puzzles and stuff, maybe thats what he is referring to.

  3. Haha you arent wrong when you say that Roald is only a little ahead of traveller, you actually have met him already. He was one of the people you meet in inazuma for that quest including Ruu (The foggy island quest). He was one of the few people commissioned by Sumida(the author) to retrieve maushiro from the island, with traveller being the last person comissioned and we complete the mission. So traveller actually over takes Roald at inazuma

  4. We did meet this guy. Apparently, he has a really poor memory, and therefore always loses his diaries. This is why we helped him pick some local mushrooms which were supposed to enhance his memories. Considering we found no diaries of his in Sumeru, it worked.

  5. 7:10 I think the "labyrinth" Roald thinks the Adepti live in a reference to Cloud Retainer's domain? You visit it early in the Liyue archon quest and there's a floating-platform-rotating puzzle in there that could be said to be maze-like, just not a classical greek stone-and-minotaur labyrinth. Also, if you haven't done it yet, you can actually revisit this domain by going up there (Mt. Aocang) and interacting with it. You get to do another variation of the puzzle, get some dialogue with cloud retainer, and a few primos for completing it (since it counts as a hidden quest).

13:30 I don't think the Greenconch Lodge is part of any quests or even a Viewpoint, but it's an actual place you can visit in-game. There's two NPCs there, Granny Chu and Miss Bu, that you can talk to for a bit more lore on it.
