Yβall!! This was my first ever Blood Moon! Not gonna lie. I was not expecting to survive. But I donβt know where all the zombies were. I was expecting brutal. I was expecting tons and tons of zombies. Nope. My guess is that the hoardes start out mild and allow you to grow and learn which I need a lot of time for π
It was still fun and now Iβm not as nervous. OK β now time to prepare for the next blood moon in the zombie survival game.

Not bad bud. Each horde night will progressively get worse. You have a infection now. π
This was sooo funny. Glad you finally got some monsters. If you have your settings on basic, you will only get 8 zombies. You are fairly low in xp points & levels, thats why you didnt get alot. Next hoard night you will get more. Watch out for the ferrals, they are fast. (Their eyes glow). The scary music normally lasts untill you kill all the hord as you did. It can last 1 hour to 4 I think. They were looking for a path to get to you but you didnt give them one. Next time put down spikes around the house and you should be able to shoot them from the top verander quite easily. Patch up you house and update the blocks. Ps Dont forget to loot the rest of your base. There are heaps of boxes. You might even find yourself a decent gun in one. Great Content. Hugs CJ
I noticed that you have not looted the Crack A Book loot crate in your basement. Could be some good books to read.
Hey Stephen that was pretty fun to watch. You did really good for a first horde night. The reason they all stayed in the basement was that they didnβt have any way to get up to you. The zombies will first try and figure out how to path up to your level (ladders, stairs, blocks), and if they canβt find path up to your level will begin destroying blocks. Once they find a path up to your level, they will figure a path to you. It got quiet cause you player had a concussion. I hope you keep playing and posting videos.
Wonderful video dude, I watched with pleasure and interest
Horde Night scales with ur level and number of days. Since its ur first one at low levels, got only few zombies. But they still managed to get up to u and infected u… if that zombie infection wasnt curable, the zombies would have won… turned u into one of their own. But lucky u, the creators of 7 days to die made the infection cureable… Dont be disappointed that only few found the way towards u, that means u did reasonable well… except those two…. it seems, u should have destroyed more of those stairs below…. then u would have been fine.
An infection grows over time, so the faster u take antibiotics, the better (Or honey, heals only 5% though, but better than nothing.).
A.I path tracing has them go to path of least resistance. they're gonna bust up your cabin's basement and try to destroy the house sort of. if you decide to keep playing, you could have a friend maintain the base as you continue to learn to play the game. but the friend can not upgrade base blocks, just keep them fixed. first blood moon is all ways the easiest.
Nice quiet first horde dude, congrats on surviving it. Some injuries though, abrasion, concussion and infected too lol. Fix yourself up and prepare for the next challenge. Good job dude.
ππππ You Survived ππππ not even one death. ππππThatβs a great result. I knew you were hoping for more action for the recording but I honestly thought you played it clever and kept moving around so they couldnβt pin point your location. That block on the stairway worked great too. π
The first horde is pretty much a breeze. They will try to path to you and destroy blocks to get to you. You are doing great. Really enjoy seeing this game through a newbies eyes. You have a infection and now you need antibiotics. Sometimes you can get them at the trader. Mostly in loot.
For a more shooty horde night, on that front porch you could make a serpentine "maze" extension that connects to the ground so the zombie AI detects at least a path up to the main floor, which will typically funnel them all to one direction so covering it in wooden spike traps (careful, they damage you, too!) will slow them down from beating the door in. Then, from that window you knocked out on the upper floor, you can take pot shot at 'em as they throw themselves upon your spikes, knocking them off and sending them back to the start of the winding path.
This was fun to watch. The anxiety of knowing they are down there but not sure where they are, or where they might come from gets me every time, no matter how many times I have played.
Controversial tip: If you want to give yourself a bit of light to make it better for everyone to see, you can go into creative mode and give yourself a helmet light mod and a level one padded hood to put it on. I say it is controversial because people can be quite divided on it. Personally I do it because if people cannot see what is happening – they won't watch haha. Alternatively, you could put your torch on the walls as well.
I hope more come out!
