7 Days To Die Alpha 21.1 B6 Blood Moon Week #18 – Please Read Description

7 Days To Die Alpha 21.1 B6 Blood Moon Week #18

Difficulty: Adventurer (default)

Blood Moon Max Zombie Count: 64 (the only non-default change)
Biome: Forest
Location: Smithstone Silos, Tier 2
Character Level: 102
Game Stage: 244

Important Attributes/Perks: Intelligence is maxxed at 10 (thanks to the Nerd Glasses and Workstations is also maxxed at 5 for the 75% experience from trap kills. Also, the perk that gives 5% extra experience at night was acquired from reading The Night Stalker magazine, along with another 10% from Nerd Glasses. So 90% of experience total is gained from trap kills. I think.

Parkour is at level 2 to allow an extra meter of jump height.

I have decided to try the Smithstone Silos for my Alpha 21 POI Blood Moon test.

Extensive upgrading has been done, including concrete 2 blocks deep everywhere I thought it was necessary. Also, every ladder except one has had the bottom 2 blocks/ladders removed. 13 Dart Traps have been added. Two grenade pits were also added. Each Silo has been filled to within 4 blocks of the top with concrete. Finally, a cage has been installed above the Silos. Lotsa work!

Most of the construction was done using the building blocks, upgrading (mostly with a T4 hammer) to wood, then cobblestone and finally concrete. I finally have a nail gun to facilitate faster upgrading and repairing of blocks.

Also, a lot of excavating down at bedrock was done with the ladder leading down placed in one of the Silos. I was lucky and there is a lot of iron and some coal in the underground. There is another ladder leading up from bedrock that is a short distance away from the Silos.

More Dart Traps will be added in the future. They will be installed all along the floor of the upstairs control office with a few breaks in between them that will be concrete. Finally, I plan on adding around 6 shotgun turrets at some point and at least 4 SMG turrets.

My Land Claim block is buried (2 deep) close to the garden fence. My bedroll is out in the future garden.

I hope this provides some insight into Blood Moon and an alternate strategy to a melee base.

Thank you for watching!

Godspeed and Fare Thee Well.

I decided to risk taking a Blood Moon off. Kinda.

I’m really getting tired of rebuilding the Silos that keep crumbling due to instability. So I’ve decided to start adding stabilizing sections of concrete down at bedrock. Also, the zombies that are glitching into the ground and destroying soil blocks that they have no business having access to destroying are really getting to me too.

A plus to the whole zombies glitching into solid blocks is that I will have to search for where they are glitching to and digging. Once I find where that is I can shore up the stability some more. I really shouldn’t even have to search for these areas though. This is a major glitch in the game… along with the stability being affected from blocks that are so far away from the crumbling, decaying area of instability.

The Screamer mechanic is not at all, even remotely, realistic. I’m not talking about her screaming and zombies showing up. Well I am kind of talking about that. When she screams, why do the zombies go right to where my character is instead of going to where the Screamer screamed from? This just doesn’t make any sense to me. I do understand that it adds some difficulty and excitement into the game but…

Since I’m in the mood to complain, I would like to address the majority of YouTube content creators. When you are thanking all the people that have subscribed and become members to your channel and help provide you with income… Please do not forget the most important people to thank: the Dev’s, The Fun Pimps (without whom we have no game to play, let alone, generate an income stream from) and whatever media platform (YouTube) you are uploading to (without the media platform you likely have no opportunity to generate income playing games).

Almost all of the YouTubers I’ve had the pleasure of watching seem like they are smart, likeable people. Just please, “Do not bite the hand that feeds you.” That is not a wise proposition.

I am not currently monetized. I decided during my 1st year posting videos that my video editing skills are not good enough (they’re non-existent) and I vent way too much once I get triggered. I am mentioning the whole “Thank you.” process just to caution people that the world is changing to a more authoritarian mentality. Please exercise wisdom and as much comprehension as your wonderful, beautiful intellect allows.

Sorry for the rant. I will try to refrain from doing so in the future.

Thanks for watching.
