Nice and appropriate home you've got there, mr. Radioman! And a very productive day I might add, indeed! This was the first time I actually played my own 7dtd-game while watching yours at the same time, a bit confusing sometimes. Like you, I took over an entire building, mine is small 4-story little hospital, which is a bit of a nuisance to make zombieproof, but I'm getting there. I discovered whenever there's a half-broken stone ramp from one floor to the next, you don't have to knock out all the pieces, the thing is made out of one piece, smash it and it all falls down. I'm trying to work with the renewed spear, it no longer throws it away when power-attacking, which is great. Still no answer to the demo-dogs helas. I find the water-system not problematic at all, just take a bunch of missions, loot everything, I find loads of drinks, got 3 dew-collecters stacked on the roof, no shortage. I wished you would have gotten the helmet-light mod, your videos/game is so dark! Anyway, I think you come across a miners-helmet in no time, no problem. GG
They make the game a lot harder when you start, also the prices for things at the traders is way out of line, imo, 600 for a pot is insane, but i'll play just the same, a pretty good start so far
Not sure why, Radio, but good ol' YouTube hadn't been recommending your videos to me in a while… I guess it thought I wouldn't be interested if you weren't playing Stranded Alien Dawn? Looks like I picked the perfect time to look you up. Just in time for a new start! Woot!
If you put the blocks on your hotbar and hold them you can also press R and change the block into the ladder. Put them on the wall and climb up, then take them off the wall. Depending on how high the wall is you might have to pick them up as you go. I do this as a temp solution that can easily be removed instead of having to chop the ladder up if I decide it should permanently be somewhere else.
Edit: I've been finding more gluein this version, but I sell it to the trader because I'm only doing light crafting this round.
I'd say that for water issues, multiplayer makes it easier IF you cooperate to loot for a pot and murky water on day 1, this means finding POI where you will have a high chance of it.
For single player, it's more on being super efficient and optimal on day 1 and being lucky… Taking quests is nice and all, but in most cases you will spend a lot of time clearing POI doing the fetch or clear area quests which might take a bit of time to 'cheese'… So increasing harvesting tool levels might actually help out here (so you do more block damage with a higher level primitive axe).
They made it so zombies hit for like 30 block damage on doors and such, and ramped up typical walls and roof of POI to 5000 HP, so you can't easily break through rooftops in a POI and cheese the courier satchels and finding those loot boxes.
By day 4 in single player though, you'll level up enough to not run into issue with water as suddenly more and more pots starts to spawn as well as murky water and foodstuff.
Used to be the poi's were rated to your level. You wouldn't find a Level 5 poi when you were on your first week. Now the levels are attached to the Poi's and you could definitely run in to a really hard one on your first week. They put a skull warning in the upper right corner when you approach the building. one skull is easy and five skulls is TOUGH. Some people don't like knowing in advance …. but I sure do. Keeps you from getting beat up right off. You're doing good!
Loving 7dtd 🙂 What seed are you using though. I seem to remember being able to choose this one, but it is no longer in my list. Do you need to input a number now?
I use the same settings and I also give myself the "edge" for xp and damage – To say I draw from experiences and I want walking Zombies with odd runners like feral zombies that would be newly fresh-turned zombies and adventure setting to get the average amount of horde type movements in suburb settings. There is risk everywhere, yet my intelligence and knowledge work in my favor, they also walk at night as well – They are "drunken" and "drunk" in movement running would cause them to be more about "inertia" like a torpedo, or rocket. They don't have the motor skills they use too and trying to juggle that movement, would be a rather fable attempt at running speeds they lack gyros but can produce blunt trauma of "inertia". I would still like to see a shield and sword and make torpedo zombies for the "clotheslined" attack this is where a shield would come in handy to block the charge and ideal for CQC could have a few shields say with a gun or knife, or the shield is a primary weapon and has a light 🚦🚦bar, the shield bash has railroad spikes on the front in a circle, acts a buckler on the shield same idea with the brawler's fists weapons has the same effect – shield with a fist weapon for instant.
Magazines you get are determined by what skills you select. Double dip every mail box! Everyone! Open magazines as soon as you get them.
Glad to see you back in 7dtd Radio 😀

Hey nice content!😂
I am a survival content creator as well, do you want to do a collaboration of 7 days to die?
I don't normally play betas but this was too enticing after watching you dive in, thx for sharing

My game doesn’t load past 87% smoothing terrain after this last update
