  1. id rather get my own opinion..Everytime u youtubers do a review it is always a reminder of the most important aspect of life…We are all different. Like something tells me u are going to go watch The Flash. And u will do a review. Despite the actor being a complete piece of shit. I am my own person, i dont need someone who gets paid to criticize and talk sh telling me their personal opinion on a movie. I miss the days when a movie comes out, u go check it out, and u make an opinion based off watching the actual movie. Now we got "critics" and young ass, wet behind the ears critics with their own political agendas. I will decide if i like the movie not u.

  3. This movie reminds me of the movie "Passengers" with Chriss Pratt & Jennifer Lawrence. The movie is essentially a love story set in space in the future, and I kinda guessed it but wasn't sure as the marketing made the movie look lore like a Sci-Fi action. The movie does have a few action scenes but its mostly a love story. I personally enjoyed it for what it was, but a LOT of people hated it because they went into the theater expecting one thing but instead got another. Studios need to STOP doing this. Stop advertising your movies to be different than what they really are. It just creates animosity. As for 65, I think I will like it, but money is so tight that I doubt I will see it in theaters. I want to but just can't afford it. This is the Biden economy after all.

  4. From what I saw in the trailers, I was not very interested, but based on your review I might give it a shot. The film probably suffers from having created misleading expectations. I look forward to a character-focused movie dealing with emotional coping, but well, I am a psychologist after all.

  5. The daughter thing is way too played out but overall solid movie. If they only focused the 90 minute run time on survival against every predator trying to eat Mills it could have been epic. Definitely worth a watch in my opinion.

  6. I actually shouted out Papa Chen's name in joy when you were going o switch to him. I get so excited for your lovable father and you'll have to be careful he doesn't out shine you one day. ;p

  7. Even 65 million years ago they didn’t have universal health care. If this movie was made in any other first world country there would be no reason to leave because your health care is covered by universal health. Only in America do we all go broke trying to treat our own healthcare.

  8. Im happy i didnt see 65 then , my partner dragged me to Wokescream 6 instead. Wokescream 5 had all white victims and all white killers. So i know what i was getting myself into. Although i learned rom Wokecream 6 if you are gay and black you can be stabbed 10-15 times, walk around, giggle and laugh.

  9. it was boring…
    even the dinosaurs were boring.

I thought it should’ve been something more like Castaway, but with spaceships and dinosaurs, and maybe even without the little girl.

I’d like to recommend the movie Prospect, from 2018, on Hulu, I think… it was the very time Pedro Pascal played a grizzled, stoic, and sad loner who guides a young girl (or little green alien) through a hostile environment. it’s a now-tired premise, but it’s definitely one of the best.

  10. The plot sounds EXACTLY like 'The Last of Us' only with dinosaurs filling in for zombies. Also Joel knows all along his daughter didn't make it which gives the game a reception arc instead of the 'gut punch' you described.

  11. Usually movies this length are good and tell a tight serviceable story in nineties minutes. Kind of disappointed to hear about the bad reviews. Especially since it's from the writers of A Quiet Place and they know how to create suspense.

  12. I love dark scifi and Adam Driver so I will probably like this tbh. The funny thing about Jurassic Park being more wonderous and sort of upbeat, the book is SO DARK. PITCH BLACK, guts being torn out while still alive dark. Spielberg changed it up a lot, which worked but whoa, the book surprised me.

  13. All I can say is any movies that exclusively have numbers as their titles and Adam Driver needs to fire his agents from the sounds of it admittedly I hadn’t seen 65 yet and I may so it definitely seems that his career is a double edged sword at this point not to mention he’s never going to be able to separate himself from Star Wars at all.

  14. I enjoyed this movie very much. There were moments when I nearly soiled myself from tension. Sorry for the graphic description. I found the characters very realistic as people. Adam Driver played someone who was genuinely terrified out of his mind and pulled it off perfectly. Likewise, the kid was what I would expect a kid to be in that situation. Sure, the story was predictable and simplistic, but that's exactly a thing that makes a movie like this enjoyable. Even the so-so CGI added to the charm and the low budget feel of the film. I really can't think of anything to dislike about it. A part of me wanted an extra scene at the end, but I don't want to delve into that in a comment as it would be a spoiler. I get where you are coming from with "bleak." The main character's backstory is beyond heartbreaking, but that adds a layer to his character that is beyond the trope that these movies usually have. These characters are usually super macho soldiers (Predator), or alcoholics who have given up on life because their partner got killed/wife left him/pet project got cancelled/hamster died, etc.. His backstory was realistic and immensely relatable. I just saw it last night, so maybe I will find flaws in it as I think about it more, but so far this movie rates Excellent on my scale.

  15. Maybe we need to stop making movies with two directors- only let one person direct? It worked with the Coen brothers but that could be because they're brothers. I don't know. I mean how many duo directed movies do you like?

  16. Not a bad movie, just watched it. It's just not a great movie neither.

I think we currently just find ourselves in this situation were our expectations have become high but Hollywood delivery has gone down the drain.

  17. In cases where an Alien species "looks" like you it would be that the planet has a similar enviroment, though slight differences which has a case for a different technological evolution as instead using steam, Oil, etc, it's some resource that creates it's own gravity or using crystals for ray guns instead of developing bullets. They could also have different interal organs or the heart in the opposite area. The universe is huge it wouldn't be shocking if some species out in one of those billions of galaxies( if there is intellegent life) and countless planets resemble each other to certain degrees or completely. Just use your imagination.

  18. The movie was Mid… not great but not bad. The Trailer sold the movie as a horror film. Thats not what was delivered. Great if you enjoyed it, however "Bleak" is a perfect word to describe this movie, if you consider final outcome. Mills saved girl, but still goes home to a moarning wife and a dead child.
