Just your daily reminder that we are due for a 12k year polar shift. Have a great day everyone!
Apparently nobody understands the greenhouse effect. Venus is atmosphere is made up of 95% CO2 but so is Mars there’s a really important 19:18 distinction. Venus has an atmospheric pressure that is almost 100 times that of earth so it doesn’t actually matter if CO2 is there, or what gas is there it could be nitrogen and you would still have an extremely high temperature because of the atmospheric pressure.
Great video and information !
Before the first astronauts’ arrival on Mars, habitational facilities offering shelter against dust storms, UV and cosmic radiation and occasional solar proton events (SPEs) with radiation spikes up to the hundredfold dose (→ NASA's Mars Odyssey 2001), oxygen, food and water supply by cyanobacteria and microalgae cultures should already have been emplaced robotically. Farming will play a key role in the establishment of a permanent colony. For this to be effective, the toxic perchlorate (CLO₄⁻) must be removed from the soil by bioremediation using microalgae.
absolutely great for anyone needing something in the background while working espacially folks who cant focus (me lol)
the pop-culture uses were awesome to include
