This is my first attempt at onions. It took so long but they are bulbing up pretty good, but I will have to check them tomorrow. I was waiting for them to fall over on their own. I didn't know I need to check to see if the stalk is bendable. Thank you.
Thanks Kim, I grow onions here in hot 9b Sacramento and grew from sets. Last picks were June and I held off putting out new sets until last week for Fall crops. We usually do not get "hard" freezes here so I can grow onions year round except for the hot summer months, usually I put out sets in August, November, January and April. Thanks for the videos.

Yes, I grew some red bunching onions and some regular red onions. I live in the southeast and onion storage here can be difficult.
I planted my onions too close together in the summer and of course I didn’t bulb and eggs then again, I may have planted the wrong type for my area, but is it possible to replant them this fall for another crap?
I grew onions for the first time this year. I started harvesting them over two months ago. some got a little larger than a golf ball others we harvest like giant green onions. I still have some in the ground. I plan to start some from seeds next time.
