You mentioned that they would need a chain to open (pull open) the door or hatch that was buried below. Remember Gary and two of the younger men found a buried chain. They did this while Gary was scanning the ground. The chain seemed to be wrapped around tree roots… We never did get to see if they retrieved the entire chain… "'What do you think was on the other end of that chain.?'"
I realize this is a ridiculous question, but do we know if the Lagina brothers and team have seen your interpretation of how "the mechanism" works? Which, by the way, I find utterly genius. Both the workings AND the fact you sussed it all out as you did. Exceedingly well done, man.
Look at the way that cross is designed. It looks like a shaft with "zig zag" stairway, or bracing, going down and across. If each represents one layer in the MP (10ft), look at the level at which the center of the horizontal shaft comes into play, 40 ft below the top, at the end of the 4th diagonal, your Point A. Then continue to count down and see if there is any correlations…14 or 14 1/2 zigs or zags from top to bottom, so around 145 ft x 6 = 870 ft…….Nolan's cross….6:1..???
On the gold cross, this would put the top of the horizontal around 25-30 ft (x 6 = 150 ft) and the bottom around 45-50 ft., the levels between which you dig down sideways at an angle. The second stone from the bottom of Nolan's cross is 420 ft down from the center of the horizontal, thus seven more diagonals which corresponds to 70 ft., the depth at which you intercept the shaft to the valve and vault after digging 40 ft at a 45 deg angle, with a remaining 5 diagonals to the bottom, thus 50 ft., for a total of 120 (x 6 =720). 720 + 150 = 870
Hopefully you can see or understand what I am saying.
hey olivier, just paused at 12 mins through and so far everything you have said about the reasons for the document to be cut as it is, chimes with everything i have thought about it since reading 'scrolls' last year. Yes, this all needed to be said. There is text we are missing, otherwise who would want or what is the point of the blank bits at the bottom. absolutely spot on.
so who was the 'boss' and his 3 helpers? could those 4 people + the 3 on the island be the 7? i had presumed the schematic was in the chest taken by the 4 as i cant imagine how it could be preserved in the money pit otherwise. perhaps the removed chest was not full of treasure but just a few trinkets and the map? perhaps the 4 came back and joined forces again with the 3 living on the island knowing they would need their help?
Great work, very insightful. I agree with your observations . If we only had all of the original pieces and the island was untouched. The one thing that has always bothered me almost more than any other singular thing is the fact that someone used dynamite on the Boulder the fragment h o stone came from. Why didn't someone make a sketch of it? Seems unlikely that didn't happen. So many loose ends and unknowns.
Hi Oliver Excellent as always, very cool piece of deduction. 'The cross is the key'- if this was the key with the 'random' holes in, then possibly it was meant to be overlaid over some text and the resulting letters would form some kind of message. This would is all very 'Baconesque'. However, the text ideally would be printed and to a scale that would fit the cross. I'm thinking KJ bible, maybe. What other texts would be available in this story that would be candidates? ,or could the holes themselves point to a location if overlaid over a map of the island.
This is great I can't believe there is another oak island channel. I just found dot to dot within the last week and that was a dream come true. So glad you showed up somehow. New sub for sure. thanks
I love your work.
I like it keep up the great work

Excellent presentation! The Onslow Co 1803 had 8 members.
John Smith of Chester, N.S.
Anthony Vaughan of Chester, N.S.
Daniel McInnis of Chester, N.S.
Dr. Simeon Lynds of Onslow, N.S. (he also referred to as Dr. David Barren Lynds in some accounts)
Colonel Robert Archibald, director of operations
Captain David Archibald of Pictou, N.S.
Sheriff Thomas Harris of Pictou, N.S.
Mr. Mosher of Newport, N.S., mechanic
Perhaps the Archibalds got 1 piece. Making 7. Or Mosher was excluded, thats a whole different story. Or Harris.
Great thinking. I wished the Lagina brothers would listen and explore YOUR theories. 🙂

Reminds me of inside the pyramids
Nice one Olivier. Very cool 😮

How do I find out about all this?
I am new to this and have never heard of a lot of this…?

Legend said 7 must die before it's found. Maybe cause the key is in 7 pieces.
Thank you, Olivier. Good work as always.
Don't mind me, I'm just picking my jaw up from the floor
Great video Olivier. You know, the two large pieces in the middle remind me of the "head underground" stone. Just a thought.
