Thomas Kibet, a 53-year-old man from Kagir, Baringo North, Baringo County is lucky to be alive today. This is after he was shot by bandits in 1978 when he was still a young boy while grazing his father’s livestock. The bullet passed through his right eye, leaving him blind for 4 decades now. Kibet has however overcome his trauma and is now the headteacher at Kagir primary school, which has been on and off due to banditry attacks.
