Broken PS Vita From a Storage Unit for $50 – Can We Save It?! One of my views found a PS Vita in a storage unit but sometimes it won’t turn on so he sent it to me to see if I could get it working reliably. I also have another PS Vita I bought for $80 that was dropped in water. Hopefully I can get them both fully working, or at least one of them.

Some of your opinions I can agree with but when you touched on big Adventure Bikes you triggered something in me. Let me be clear, I'm not a middle aged man (yet) but still these bikes are popular for a reason. The looks, power and their endless potential are what got me hooked and I can only imagine this is why other people like them too. Comparing a GS1200 to a Gold Wing is like comparing apples to oranges. Totally different bikes which can both ride comfortable 2-up with panniers. That's about the only similarity they have in my opinion.

I find that you are struggling with battery voltages… A normal 3.7V NOMINAL voltage battery is at 0% at around 3.2-3.3V and at 100% at 4.2 – 4.35V (depending on the chemistry used). 3.6V is more than enough to power the device, anything below 3.0V is a problem as, depending on the BMS board, it might not even allow the battery to charge.
Hi Steve love your vids and LOVE the Vita, so I especially was enjoying this one! FYI, that card you showed the install for on the 1000 model wasn't the WiFi card, it was the 3G modem. It can be replaced in a modded Vita with a PSVSD MicroSD card adapter while still leaving the WiFi working.

Hey Tronics, just curious have you looked into dead USB slots for the Switch Dock? All 3 of my USB ports are dead and I can't use my wired controller.

What liquid is used in the ultrasonic cleaner? Is it water? Seems kind of counterintuitive to use water to remove liquid damage.
Do you get jittery with happiness when you are refurbishing a console and it is hard and you have to work and think.
The best way to take off the white connector is to fill it with flux, heat each legs and suck it out.

Seeing just how easily a Vita is torn down makes me thankful that if I ever have to clean or take apart my 1000 for any reason, at least Sony made it fairly easy

Hey Steve! I’m a new subscriber to your channel but love your work! Got a quick question, can using a lower grade IPA cause issues/shorting? I used some 70% ipa to try and correct/fix some left joystick drift and now my home button is not responsive at all. The joystick and all other buttons work great and I’ve never had any other issues besides the drifting. I also never opened the unit so I just wondered if the ipa kind of dripped down onto the board/home button and screwed it up. Anyway keep up the great work man!

Hello my name is Logan and my childhood psp is having a very strange issue I would like your opinion on. It works but it doesn’t hold a charge well and the only way I can charge it is if u have a cord plugged into the usb port and the charge port at the same time not just one it has to be both or it will not work. Please help
You're an excellent tech, but your soldering leaves a bit to be desired. You use WAAAAAAY TOOO MUCH FLUX for the tiniest of leads and you said you couldn't get flux on the connector's pins. Yes you can!
Smash down a thin strip of flux on a flat surface and then drag the connector across it so you scrape up a touch of flux onto the leads and then position. Then trim tiny pieces of solder and lay them on each lead (the flux will hold it in place), then CLEAN your iron's tip WELL and touch each lead. Your tip being dirty results in having to hold the tip of the iron on components for much too long which can damage them and a clean tip will transfer its heat immediately, resulting in factory-like soldered leads.
